Join us for Surfer Girl Academy's most popular tour! Get the best value for top-notch instruction and supervision from our lifeguard-certified instructors. The group lesson pairs individuals in a ratio of no more than 4:1 for every surfer to surf instructor. The lesson is for those who simply want to feel the thrill of surfing but want the luxury of doing so at their own pace. Whether for those who might feel intimidated by the ocean, or for someone who just wants to feel the stoke of surfing, come join our professional and encouraging staff today. The lesson entails a 20-30 minute dry land instruction on the basics of surfing along with general ocean safety and understanding. Actual water time will consist of no less than 90 minutes after the land instruction is complete. Overall time of the activity including transportation should be around 2.5 hours. This surfing lesson is for ages 12+, and for participants with confidence and a desire to learn. No minimum numbers are required.

The tour will stop at 7 landmark sites and scenic spots with 5-6 different food stops. You learn the history of the places we visit and the food we eat. You'll begin the morning with the infamous Portuguese hot donuts - the Malasadas. Then you'll head out to the first dramatic vista overlooking an ocean cliff on the East Side. The Windward side of the Ko'olau mountains is a spectacular sight. Your tour guide is a nature guide who takes you on a visual road trip sharing the Hawaiian history and culture with you.  You'll stop at an ancient Hawaiian temple overlooking a Taro field. The scene is reminiscent of Hawaii's past. Then you'll head up to North Shore stopping at little-known spots until you stop for an appetizer of shrimp or Kalbi pork/chicken with a fruit smoothie. After more sightseeing around the North Shore from secluded beaches, ancient trees and surfing spots you'll stop for lunch at the newest hot spot of food trucks. After lunch you'll go in search for the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle basking on the beach. Later before heading back to Waikiki we'll stop for a dessert of Shaved ice or a local coffee farm. This is your personal tour and it can be customized for you. Explore the city with a friendly local who is passionate about his/her city and eager to share all the tips and tricks that will help you make the most of your trip. Meet where you're staying to get familiar with the neighbourhood, find out about the best places to eat and buy groceries, the easiest ways to get around, and the hidden gems you might have missed. By the end of the tour, you'll feel more comfortable in navigating the city and confident that you have all the information you need to make the most of your stay. Once we receive your booking, the supplier get in touch with you to confirm all the details for the tour: meeting place and time, language and your contact information, and also ask you some questions to get to know you better. They will hand-pick the right local for you based on your interests. Each tour is completely customized so you can choose the meeting location, start time and length that you prefer (minimum: 2 hours).  During the walking tour you will have the option of taking public transportation or taxi to get around the city (at your expense). The local guides (Lokafyers) are locals who are passionate about their city and love to meet travellers and share what they love about their city.  They are not professional tour guides and do these tours occasionally, which provides an authentic and personal experience that is like having a friend show you around their home city.  Through conversations with your Lokafyer, you’ll learn what it’s like to live in Honolulu, learn about cultural differences, local events and politics and also get to know each other on a personal level. A "no rush" private tour which is customized for you, your family and friends. You will be hosted by an experienced guide who knows the island including, it's history, culture, flora and wildlife. They will love to share all of it with you. Because your tour will be customized for your group, you will be taken to some of the sights and locations that will work best within your half day (5 hour) tour. Then, you will be offered an itinerary, with special requests being honored. The itineraries vary with each tour, some suggested spots include Lanai Point, Halona Blowhole, Sandy's Beach, Makapu'u, Hanauma Bay (selected as 2017's Best Beach in the USA) Pali Lookout, and the Byodo-in Temple.   Your tour starts with pick-up at a time of your choosing. As you drive to the different locations, you are more than welcome to stop if you see something interesting along the way, such as a Hawaiian monk seal who just happens to be basking on the beach or a rainbow on the horizon. This is both a flexible and a visual road trip with every day providing different sights to see. For half day tours, you will usually stop at between 5-7 locations. Time spent at each location is up to you, with no rush to move on with the tour until you feel ready. You will visit scenic and historic sites and will also be able to stop for a snack and/or lunch if you desire.

For a first time surfer from Indiana, the experience was awesome. Madi and all the instructors were sooo helpful! Got up on the surf very first try. Not bad for a 60 year old. The pictures that were taken will last a lifetime of memories.

First time surfing it was a great experience, I was able to stand up on the first try, yes fell off a few times to, the 2 girls really took care of you and made you feel safe. Definitely going back.
