Overall rating
This was a perfect and pleasurable private tour exploring the Vihno Verde region. Tours to this area are much harder to find than the more common Douro Valley. Hugo was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. He was able to arrange private tours for us on a Sunday at two lovely vineyards. The vineyards are not normally open on Sundays, and this allowed us to learn so much about the Vinho Verde region and the various wines produced here. In between the vineyards, we had a delicious traditional Portuguese lunch. It was also very convenient to be picked up and dropped off right near our hotel. I highly recommend Hugo and this tour. You will not be disappointed.
This trip was a great day overall. If you like smaller groups this is it. The train ride was fun it broke up having to ride in a bus or car both directions from Porto. Rui was a great host. Lunch was delicious and more than enough. Just note that the meet point to start the day in Porto is in the train station, not the metro and not at street level like the directions say.
We enjoyed our day trip. Our guide Tiago was excellent driver and guide. He wasn’t too talkative or rushing in any part of the trip. He made sure we are comfortable and enjoying the experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Porto.
