Our guide Daniel was so so friendly and knowledgeable about the places we were visiting. The trip only had us and another couple and we all became friends by the end of the trip. Daniel showed us all the great spots around Girona and Pals and offered us ample time to see the places on our own and take photographs. He also arranged a nice place for us to eat in Callela de Palafrugell. A super trip all in all and 10/10 for Daniel as our guide.

Fantastic day trip. A must for a lover of Dali's works. Enrique, our guide, was excellent. If I could change one thing it would be to shorten the time in Cadaques and extend the time in the Dali Museum in Figueras. 1.5 hours in the Dali Museum is doable but it felt rushed. 30 min to an hour more would have made it less so. But otherwise, highly recommend this tour. Truly a small group tour experience. A highlight of my stay in Catalunya!

  • Girona: Small Group Walking Tour

    7. Girona: Small Group Walking Tour

The ancient walled city of Girona stands on a fortress-like hill, high above the confluence of the Onyar and Ter rivers. As the provincial capital, it has a long and distinguished history. Founded by Iberians, the Romans later named it Gerunda and established it as an important stopping point on the Via Augusta, linking Iberia with Rome. But the most important time for the city was the middle ages, due to its location near the french border the city was under siege several times, so its main buildings are from that time. Girona has the huge 15th century cathedral, boasting the widest unsupported gothic arch in the world which dominates the skyline. Much of the city's attraction lies in exploring the medieval streets, especially around the charming Jewish quarter. In the lower part of the city, you will enjoy spectacular images of steep alleyways and the brightly painted façades of the h...

First class directions. Prompt service. Guide Sheila was really fun and informative, made our trip so enjoyable. Girona was a lovely little town and the local guide excellent. We had a small hiccup with the girona guide turning up late, but we were given additional time to make up for that. We split from the group after the monastery since we wanted to climb up to the mirador, we met up on the bus again after lunch in girona. Figueres and Dalí was all that the tour promised. Of course more time is always appreciated in such large museums. But the museum guide did a great job of explaining Dalí’s ideas. Would highly recommend

Our tour guide was Gaspar who was very informative and lovely. He took us initially to Girona where he walked us around and showed us some sights and then gave us free time to explore - after that we went to Pals, a small beautiful historic village where he again walked us around and gave us insights into the history of Pals as well as showing us some very beautiful view points, after Pals we were taken to palafrugell in Costa brava which was utterly beautiful. My partner and I spent over an hour in the crystal clear ocean and then after that we enjoyed a late lunch in one of the restaurants overlooking the beach. On the way back Gaspar stopped at some beautiful view points and gave us some insightful information about each area. This trip was absolutely fantastic and a total bargain for the price quite frankly! If you are considering this trip then absolutely book it as these are places and things we would have never ventured out of Barcelona to see otherwise! And with a great tour
