1. Stavanger: Guided Hike to Kjerag Kjeragbolten

Your tour will begin as you are picked up at 7:15AM from the location chosen whilst booking. Note that your drop off location, upon return, will be the same as the pickup location. You will begin with a drive from Stavanger to Eagle’s Nest, which is the trailhead for this hike. The journey is close to 2.5 hours, and is certainly not without its charm. Once having arrived, the trail will take you through beautiful mountainous terrain with changing landscape and impressive views of the area. Having reached the Kjerag plateau after 2 to 3 hours, you will spend time enjoying the views of the nearby nature and will have plenty of time to take photos. Some may be courageous enough to climb onto the bolt, and if you are lucky, you may be able to observe BASE jumpers diving from cliffs and down to Lysefjorden. This is also the ideal location to enjoy lunch, for those who have brought their own packed food. Your day will later conclude with your expected arrival to Stavanger at around 6:00PM.

From Stavanger: Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) Guided Hike

2. From Stavanger: Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) Guided Hike

Hike one of Norway’s most spectacular walking trails just a few hours from Stavanger, and get stunning views from the top of Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) above the Lysefjorden fjord. Reach the edge of the near-vertical cliff and test your nerves of steel as you stand or sit close to the edge above crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a light snack as you take in the unobstructed views over a fjord formed by glaciers during the last Ice Age. Reconnect with the wilderness on the 4 to 6-hour trek using well marked and easy to follow paths. Face the challenge of rocks that may become slippery in more demanding areas before you reach the unparalleled views.

Stavanger: Guided Winter Hike Pulpit Rock Preikestolen

3. Stavanger: Guided Winter Hike Pulpit Rock Preikestolen

After being picked up from your accommodation at 7:15 AM, head to the Stavanger or Lauvvik ferry station, and take the ferry across the fjord. From the other side, it is a short drive to Preikestolen Lodge, the starting point for the hike. The hike up will take you between 2 and 3 hours. Once at Pulpit Rock, spend some time enjoying the views of beautiful natural scenery and take some photos. Enjoy your packed lunch, beverages, and some snacks here. The hike back will likely also take 2 to 3 hours, and you can expect to arrive back in Stavanger around 3-4 PM. The distance covered is approximately 4 km each way and the level is easy to moderate. Depending on weather, snow, and ice conditions, the trail may become slippery in some of the more demanding areas. The supplier provides crampons if the conditions requiers it. Some hiking experience is desirable, but not mandatory. Hikers should be prepared with clothes and shoes for cold weather. Hiking boots are required on this hike, and can be rented when booking. Other suggestions include warm, windproof, and waterproof clothing. Bring some water with you to keep hydrated, preferably in a container you can refill on the trail. Norwegian mountains are full of crystal clear, clean, and very tasty water sources. Lunch will not be provided, but please bring your own snack. Each hiker is responsible for carrying his/her own gear, so a suitable backpack is recommended.

What could I say!? The tour was extremely perfect, everything was good organized and everything went good, the weather was great and the views and places were simply astonishing, I enjoyed every single moment of the tour with Lysefjorden Adventure company and that made me take another tour with them to Kjerag the next day and guess what! it was also perfect as the other one, anyhow the tours with Lysefjorden Adventure are a must do when you visit Stavanger and I will always recommend that to the people who are planning to visit there. I also want to take the chance to thank my tour guide Hege of both tours, this woman is extremely amazing and professional, she planned everything perfectly and made everything easy to us, she even took us to amazing secret places only locals know about, she explained everything about the places and history of it, one of the best tour guides I have ever met in my life and if you are reading this Hege I would want to tell you I can’t thank you enough!

The hike was not to difficult even for people that are not used to hike. Pulpit Rock is something awesome and thanks to this tour we was able to arrive early on the Rock and enjoyed the place more quietly before all the people arrived. Our guide was Elga, she is a really nice person and through her we discovered more about Pulpit Rock and also about Norway, she make the tour and our trip in Norway nicer!! I totally recommend this tour!!
