Barcelona: Los Tarantos Flamenco Show

1. Barcelona: Los Tarantos Flamenco Show

Experience the passion of the flamenco at Los Tarantos in Barcelona's Plaça Reial, and immerse yourself in a unique form of music and dance. Opened in 1963, Los Tarantos is one of the most respected tablao (venues for flamenco) in Barcelona. It helped the city become Spain's third great capital of flamenco after Andalusia and Madrid. When devising each program, the management of Los Tarantos consider the academic rigor of each group of performers and their capacity to adapt to characteristic flamenco art. Performances are held nightly. No concessions are made to tourist audiences in the form of amateur or low-quality artists. However, nor is the show aimed exclusively at scholars of flamenco. Anyone who appreciates this breathtaking genre will enjoy the romance of the guitar and feel the passion of the singing and dancing. You will hear some of the most representative palos from the genre, along with a different cuadro scheduled on each day of the week.

Get back to the roots of authentic flamenco with performances such as the fast-rhythm "Bulerías," guitar solos, beat percussion, and acoustic singing. See legendary dancers including Ivan Alcalà, Raúl Ortega and Patricia Dominguez. Hear seductive singers, such as Antonio el Mantecao, Zambullo, La Tana and Laura Santos. Admire flamenco guitarists, Tati, Chote, Adan and Chote.

Great Dancers! Great atmosphere! Situated in a nice location. I recommend. Try to get a little early as sitting is on first come basis. But having said that it is a small space and all seats are great.
