Gyannis was our guide for our first tour, what a pleasure he was to spend the day with. He had tremendous knowledge of the local area. This trip ended up being more than we expected. Walking through a farming area enjoying the melody of a rushing river. Eating a freshly picked orange and admiring the many different types of fruit growing here. The snow capped White Mountains were beautiful in the background. We had Greek coffee and a cheese fried pie our second stop, a local Cafe. A cheese store where we sampled different cheeses that they made there. A village bakery where we sampled bread, snacks, olive oil and raki all made at the bakery/store. We loved interacting with the locals at each stop. Final stop was luch at a village restaurant, an awesome meal. Stuffed egg plant, tziaki, Greek salad and baked chicken. Of course there was bread. We would highly recommend this trip. Gyannis was a pleasure and would recommend any trip with him.
Wonderful day with Gyannis visiting local sites related to WW II. He is very knowledgeable about the area and made this trip very interesting. He also took us to a collector's house to see the many items he had collected from the local area. The collector's knowledge of his items was remarkable. We truly enjoyed this trip and would recommend it for anyone having an interest in history. Gyannis was a wonderful guide.
our guide was awesome! very knowledgeable about diverse subject matters. it's not every day you can get a glimpse into the real local culture through the eyes of someone who grew up and around the very villages we visited. it is a must tour!
