The Rottnest Express is the best ferry to get from Freo and the 90 minute Discovery Bus Tour is the best to see the whole island in a half day. If you want to spend a whole day with more time at different points around the Island the hop-on hop-off bus would be better, and cycling is gruelling on a hot day. The Discovery Tour Bus goes up to the lighthouse but it’s a demanding walk from the Hop-on bus stop.
Very informative and entertaining. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to hear. The only problem was the confusion over the meeting point. Getyourguide told us on our ticket to meet at the green cactus in Forrest Place but Oh Hey WA sent an email saying the start was at Yagan square. Luckily they were close to each other!
Overall a great day. There were plenty of wines to try and things to taste. The stops were a bit rushed at times and an extra hour in the day would have been great. The lunch was very good however not the platter as described
Our tour guide was very friendly as well as the other people who joined us on the tour. I would definitely recommend to do this tour!
Well organised ferry/bus/train connections. Nice light lunch provided. Good commentary from guides and volunteers. Abundant wildlife.
