My driver, Diego, was extremely well versed on the history of the Cuenca area. I'm not a shopper, but I love history and the arts. Being able to see how the native arts have been done for generations was perfect for me! I appreciated his letting me know that I didn't have to buy anything, but that instead I could give the artisans tips for their demonstrations. Again, perfect for me. His driving skills were the best that I've experienced in my four trips to Ecuador. He was quite good at adjusting for my medical limitations. I also greatly appreciate that he dropped me off at my Airbnb instead of the actual pickup point (about 5 blocks away), since it was raining very hard when we got back to Cuenca.

Carlos was an excellent guide!! He’s very knowledgeable, helpful and kind! We stopped at the Basilica on the way- so interesting and beautiful! The ruins and all the surrounding countryside were absolutely gorgeous! It was so interesting to learn not only about the Incans but the Cañari, as well! I even tried Cui today! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour, and if you’re lucky maybe Carlos will be your guide!

Combine walking and car. We visited different curious places. Very punctual and the pick up was in our hotel. Very convenient for us. The guide explained everything very good.

We enjoyed the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved what was made. I don’t cook, but I will absolutely try some of the recipes when we get home.

Very informative. My guide, Diego P., took good care of me and gave me a great insight into the history and culture of the area.
