As a DoC approved transport provider with nearly two decades experiance taking people to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing our driver is the only shuttle operator who actually has experiance as a Hut Ranger on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing we pride ourselves on being a safe transport provider.

Your day of adventure starts at first light with a scenic drive to Mangatepopo, the start of the Tongariro Alpine Hike. Your local guide will provide weather information, a map, and an information sheet before sending you on your journey. Your 20km hike follows spring-fed streams to the base of the Devils staircase. A steep ascent will reward you with your first views of Mt Taranaki and the breathtaking landscape. The hike continues past old lava flows, vast craters, and dramatic rock formations. You will cross the Red Crater Ridge to admire the Emerald Lakes, before descending to see the lakes up close. Your 6-8 hour hike comes to an end in Ketetahi car park.

Our exclusive Ketetahi Park & Ride service offers a fantastic transport option for self-hikers embarking on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Choose from multiple departure times to fit your schedule: 6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 9:00 a.m. Times may vary due to demand, so check online for instant availability. The shuttle will take you from Ketetahi to the start of the Tongariro Crossing trail. After completing your hike, it’s just a 10-minute walk back to your car from the only all-day parking lot at the trail's end. Please note that reaching the Ketatahi end is not guaranteed. Safety regarding, weather, avalanche, ice and hypothermia are taken into consideration when securing the exact route for the day. Individual and group bookings are accepted. If you are travelling alone please book as the operator generally always meet minimum numbers, especially on good weather days.

Cruise through the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of Lake Taupo, taking in the vibrancy of Maori culture on a cruise. Explore the stunning surroundings of the lake while surrounded by rugged mountains and lush trees on the banks. As you glide through the lake on your deluxe Catamaran, you’ll come to a massive carving depicting the traditional facial tattooing of the Maori people. Inspired by centuries of rich Maori tradition, artist Matahi Brightwell carved the elaborate relief into the side of a cliff directly above the lake’s pristine waters in 1980. Depicting one of his grandmother’s ancestors, the carving represents a triumph of Maori artistry and the continued preservation of indigenous culture. At the end of the trip, you’ll head back to the dock to disembark.
