Great overnight trip that suits all ages. The guided kayak was very safely controlled and no individual exploring. Was more of an afternoon exercise to get you out and moving. The ship went everywhere possible thanks to great weather so we saw a lot of nature in its beauty. The food was good and plentiful. The bar was stocked with high quality which meant high price (could of had a drink limit if instead if it’s meant to reduce drinking and have some cheaper options). The nature guide Courtney was out of this world knowledge! She alway was great at seeking good entertainment out on the front deck.

It was fantastic!! To start off with we were rather disappointed that we woke up to a rainy day. But off we went, raincoats on all ready for the day. We ordered the packed lunch, which was more than enough, and very tasty. The rain did not put on damper on the day at all. In fact with the rain came the most amazing waterfalls, many of them too. We were very blessed to be able to go out into the sea because we had no wind. We saw dozens of fur seals and even spotted a whale...twice!!. A fantast day had!! The team were amazing...the service great...facilities clean and first class!!

World class!!!! Defiantly the World's eighth wonder. The crew were outstanding! The Chef on the Navigator was fantastic, originally from Boston, now a Kiwi presented the lamb and beef perfectly, making sheep and beef farmers proud! They crew went out of their way to make our experience the best ever. Our cabin was very comfortable indeed. The scenery throughout Doubtful was unbelievably beautiful and it was exciting to see the wildlife. I will joyfully remember this experience for ever!

This was a wonderful full day, being an hour’s cruise across Manapouri, an hour’s drive overland and a three hour trip on Doubtful Sound. Prepare for a day of mixed weather. Real Journeys are very professional and we would not hesitate to recommend them. Safety was a priority, as was cleanliness. The hosts were knowledgeable and helped make the day special.

Excellent Can’t recommend it enough. The whole trip was so well run. Good crew always happy to help in any way they could, good food and amazing scenery. If you haven’t done this trip highly recommend it. Bring it forward on the bucket list and do it while the price is so good!!!
