There’s nothing quite like Oktoberfest in Munich, it’s the world’s largest beer and folk festival which has been celebrated each fall in Bavaria for over two centuries. Join this unique tour that will explore the festival grounds, explain the history of the celebration, and give you the ins and outs to best appreciate the “Wiesn,” as Oktoberfest is known to the locals. After your guides give you a closer look at this annual festival of beer and culture, you'll venture inside one of the massive beer tents where you'll have a table reserved just for your group.  A couple of liters of beer and a plate of food (generally a half chicken, the typical Oktoberfest meal) are also included in your booking. Your tour group will be limited in size, meaning you'll get personal attention from your guide throughout the experience. Your guide will be a fluent English speaker, who is an Oktoberfest veteran and not only knows how to make the most fun out of the event, but is also a master of group chemistry, ensuring everyone has a fantastic time.

Head to the meeting point and meet up with your team for the day, existing of your local guide and other international travelers. We start by get to know each other over a beer and providing some general information about the day. Then, make your way towards the Wiesn and head inside the Oktoberfest grounds to experience Germany's iconic beer festival firsthand. Explore the main attractions as your guide regale you with fun and interesting stories about Bavarian culture and the Oktoberfest itself. Once you've worked up an appetite, make your way into one of the tents where a reserved table awaits. Sit down to a traditional lunch and 2 liters of Oktoberfest beer and enjoy the lively atmosphere with your fellow travelers. You can stay as long as the reservations is (normally 3,5 - 4h). Make sure to be able to walk a distance of approx. 1,5km, since the location ground is very widely.

After a Wiesn tour of the festival grounds with a little history, amusing anecdotes and special personal recommendations, we go to one of the large beer tents, where at our reserved tables an appetizer board, two beers and a chicken (or comparable food and drinks) are waiting for you. Our guides are super networkers, you will surely feel at home. And of course, after closing time, we recommend the best after-Wiesn parties. Tour Itinerary We meet at 2:30 pm near the Goetheplatz subway station and stroll through picturesque side streets towards the Wiesn. Once we arrive at the Oktoberfest grounds, we'll start by showing you a few legendary rides, stands worth visiting, and the way to the "Oide (historic) Wiesn," telling you amusing episodes from our personal Wiesn experiences, and getting the mood barometer high for the first time with a schnapps. On the way to our marquee, we pass a few Instagram-worthy motifs so that everyone can capture their personal memories of a great day in photographs. At 3:30 p.m., we take our tables reserved until closing time in one of the large tents. On the tables, lavishly filled Brotzeitbrettl with Bavarian specialties are already waiting for us. The first beer is quickly ordered and served - and then the party can really get started! In the evening, the bands always play very atmospheric German and international songs that encourage us to sing along and dance. So we celebrate exuberantly at our places and enjoy beer and delicacies. At 10:30 p.m. it's curfew in the tent, then we go out together and give real insider tips for after-Wiesn parties to all those who want to experience more.

I don't have enough time to write all the things we loved about our guide, Mark, and the tour. Not having been before, it gave us much more insight into Oktoberfest than we would have had on our own. We really, really enjoyed learning and visiting with Mark and the others on our tour. Everything was well organized and communicated, too. Very professional! 'Snuff said? Highly recommended!
