1. Prague: Private Guided Tour by Vintage Car with Local Drink
You will be picked up from the meeting point in a vintage Trabant 601 vehicle from late 70s by an English speaking driving guide and on a way to the first stop you will get to see from the car the Charles Bridge and its panorama as well as the Prague Castle. First stop is very emotional, unique and the most important war memorial of operation Anthropoid. Operation Anthropoid was a cover up name for assassination of Reinhard Heydrich by brave Czechoslovak paratroopers in occupied Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Two very brave man (Josef Gabcik and Jan Kubis), were selected and trained for this mission and were sent back along with many other para-groups to Protectorate. The local resistance risked their lives and lives of their families to fight against the Nazi occupation... You will be driven by an enthusiastic tour guide to the Monument of National Heroes to Heydrich terror where 7 soldiers and patriots fought until their last breathe for almost 8 hours against approximately 800 nazis and you will learn about details that can not be found in any guide book but only heard from those who met the survivors of the Czechoslovak resistance and investigated every detail. After visiting the St. Cyril and Methodius Cathedral and the spot outside with golden bricks where the bodies were identified you will be taken to the crypt which is these days a war museum with photo evidence and very important artefacts as well as the actual underground (crypt) where are still holes from the bullets in the walls. To wash away all that sadness you will be offered a shot of Becherovka - Czech traditional liquor in the pub on the opposite of the memorial called Pub of the Paratroopers, which is also themed with the resistance pictures and carries very unique atmosphere. From there you will be driven in Trabant 601 around the Dancing House and see again the Panorama of the Prague castle and then up the hills of Prague 5 through serpentines to the Great Stadium of Strahov. It is a very forgotten but important monument from the 1st Czechoslovak republic and you will be showed Trabant car, how it works and be told about communist era and how is this stadium connected with it. After the tour you can either be dropped back in the Old Town or outside the Prague Castle.
