Discover never-ending galleries filled with bottles and of course, finish the guided tour with a tasting. Continue the journey and admire the landscapes as you make your way to a tranquil vineyard. Enjoy a tasting of local led by your expert guide. Discover the basics of professional wine tasting, and how to identify the characteristics of each wine. Stop for lunch in a family-run champagne house or at a top local restaurant. Taste several glasses of champagne such as Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, Champagne Rosé, and ratafias (sweet liqueur). Pair the wines with a delicious lunch of authentic French cuisine. After lunch, enjoy a digestive tour through the vineyard of the Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne. This tour will take you to the charming village of Hautvillers, the birthplace of Champagne, where you’ll explore its rich history and visit the church where Dom Pérignon is buried. Then, visit two family-run Champagne producers, where you’ll learn about the traditional methods of Champagne production. At each winery, you’ll enjoy three tastings of their signature Champagnes, providing you with a comprehensive and immersive experience. By the end of the day, you’ll have tasted a total of six distinct Champagnes and gained a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind this iconic beverage. The tour will conclude at 6:30 pm, returning you to the starting point at the Reims Centre train station’s tourist office.

Arrive at a beautiful Champagne House called Vollereaux Champagne in the Marne Valley of Champagne. Begin the 1-hour tour with a guided visit of the historic cellars. Learn about the history of the house and the champagne-making process. Find out how the house was founded in 1805, and now stretches over 100-acres, covering the 13 villages of Coteaux Sud d’Epernay. Discover how the 6th-generation of the Vollereaux family continues a 200-year legacy of family management at the champagne house. At the end of the tour, taste 3 different champagnes as you feel the sense of sharing and togetherness which reflects the family's history and its pursuits.

Enjoy included tasting opportunities and the chance to discover Reims Cathedral during the day. Start the tour from Paris on a minibus that will take you to Champagne. Visit the quaint chapel of the Abbey at Hautvillers, which is also the gravesite of Dom Pérignon, the father of Champagne. Learn about him with your guide, then meet with a local producer to hear about the wine-growing process. Before heading back to Paris, visit the Reims Cathedral of Notre Dame, one of the defining models of Gothic art, and have free time to see the area where 25 French Kings were crowned.

Drive towards Epernay, the capital of Champagne, to discover the region and its unique terroir. Option Pick-Up 2: Pick-up from Epernay at 9:35 am in front of the Epernay Tourist Office (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Bc4HZiv3J8tuqRa49). Pass the famous Avenue de Champagne, lined with prestigious Champagne Houses. Option Pick-Up 3: Pick-up from Mareuil-sur-Ay at 9:45 am at Le Clos Corbier (https://maps.app.goo.gl/9vvchofvBDXjKWEF9). Minivan service is not included for this location. Arrive at Le Clos Corbier, where e-bikes will be ready for your Champagne countryside adventure. Ride through Premier and Grand Cru villages to reach some of Champagne’s most beautiful and remote locations. Enjoy breathtaking views of UNESCO-listed vineyards, then visit Hautvillers, the birthplace of Champagne. Here, you’ll see the church where Dom Pérignon is buried. Please note: No alcohol will be consumed during the bike tour itself, as drinking is prohibited while cycling. Upon your return to Le Clos Corbier, you’ll enjoy a cellar visit, champagne tasting, and an introduction to the champagne-making process. Enjoy a traditional French lunch featuring local specialties like cheese puffs, paté-croute, quiche, and Reims pink biscuit (adaptable for dietary needs). Important Note: Participants must be comfortable and confident riding a bike, as e-bikes are heavier than standard bicycles. For safety reasons, we may refuse participation at departure if guests do not demonstrate sufficient cycling experience. Drop-off is at 3:00 pm (Mareuil-sur-Ay), 3:15 pm (Epernay), and 4:00 pm (Reims).
