Wonderful! I highly recommend this Balinese Cooking Class if you like cooking & Asian food. First, we visited a real local market to learn what local produce looked like. Then, we picked vegetables & leaves in the garden at the farm. The cooking was fun & we learned so much (i.e. to use knotted lemongrass versus chopped-up pieces which are not edible). We cooked with so many leaves & vegetables, yet it was so healthy & more filling that I had to take most of my food home for dinner.
We (3 adults and a 9 year old) had a ball learning how to prepare and cook (and eat) delicious Balinese food in a bustling outdoor tables. Our quick trip to the food market introduced us some insight into the local way of life. Back at the restaurant, the chef instructor quickly developed rapport with the whole group and really made the experience fun and engaging. I would definitely do another class at this establishment.
Excellent experience. Would highly recommend to those who want to learn to cook Balinese dishes in a beautiful environment amongst great people. The staff were all incredibly friendly, passionate and professional. Great explanations of the varying produce as well as herbs, explanations on the cooking process and so much yummy food cooked (vegetarian or meat). Then enjoyed by all.
It was a really nice experience. They taught me very kindly and I could get a lot of information about baliness food. And their farm was beautiful. we could find all ingredents for the cooking class which is really nice.
the guys taking the class were very funny and helpful. all food was delicious and the instructors were able to tell us what ingredients we could use from our home countries as substitutes
