Make sure to arrive a few minutes early at Glacier Bay meeting point as this group is on the opposite side of the cafe and bathrooms than all other guides. This is very nice and convenient for parking and finding your correct vehicle. They provide crampons and helmets, which are all you need in addition to warm clothes and boots. This experience far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend.
Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our guide but she was from Spain and was extremely knowledgeable, considerate of all team members and her passion and wonder at the nature of the glacier was contagious. We fortunately had a great day of weather and the glacier itself was awe inspiring. Overall a highlight of our trip to Iceland!
We loved this tour! Steve our tour guide was brilliant! Great balance of taking time to take pictures and go at everyone’s pace, whilst using lots of humour and sharing his knowledge of the glacier structures… an absolutely superb morning out with the wild weather to compliment it!
The guide was very kind and it was a wonderful memory! Climbing a glacier is something you should experience at least once in your life! I highly recommend it!
had a great informative guide in Jon, pleasant nice guy. as a family it was great and my daughter thought it was the best part of our trip.
