Sometimes called Germany's answer to Amsterdam, St Pauli is located in the Hamburg-Mitte borough and contains the world-famous Reeperbahn, the city's red-light district. For a real taste of the nightlife, here are our top 5 places to go.

On a side street from the Reeperbahn, you'll find the world's oldest tavern. With capacity for 1200 guests, come in and enjoy some Bavarian beer and live music.
If you're more interested in clubbing, then make a stop at Grosse Freiheit no. 36. Definitely one of the top night spots on the Reeperbahn, you won't be dissapointed.

Ulf hat alles sehr anschaulich, ausführlich und lustig erklärt. Er hat sich ausreichend Zeit genommen um auf alle Fragen einzugehen. Wir haben viel über die Reeperbahn und das Nachtleben in Hamburg erfahren. Ich würde sie jederzeit weiterempfehlen!
Very fun 2hrs walk through St. Pauli with a true local. Interesting facts and figures, lots of insider knowledge presented in a very respectful way. You always feel safe and Stefan openly answered all questions, even the ones nobody dared to ask.
