See all the highlights of Dijon in 1 hour and 45 minutes on a walking tour with a French-speaking guide. Marvel at the UNESCO World Heritage monuments of the historic center, such as the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy and the magnificent façade of the Church of Notre-Dame. Stroll down the medieval streets to discover the amazing residences of the aristocracy and get an appreciation of the elegant architecture in the city center. You’ll be picked up at 9:30 AM at the Beaune tourist office and travel in an air conditioned minivan (maximum of 8 passengers) on this full-day wine tour. The tour begins with a winery visit near Beaune, where you’ll find a wide range of different wines, including Village, Premier cru and Grand cru. You'll be introduced to different appellations such as Saint-Aubin, Meursault, Les Charmes and Corton-Charlemagne. After the winery visit, your guide will recommend a local restaurant for lunch with local food (on your own expenses). After lunch, you'll head out along the scenic Route des Grands Crus and stop at the famous Romanée-Conti, which produces the most expensive wine in the world. You'll also have a stop at Chateau of Clos de Vougeot. Founded in 1098 by monks, the vineyard of Clos de Vougeot covers 50 hectares. The castle houses the brotherhood of the Knights of the Tastevin. Its wines are some of the most famous in Burgundy, including Le Clos Vougeot Grand Cru. At Nuits Saint Georges you'll have the opportunity to visit a wine cellar and share some time with the winemaker around a tasting of his best Pinot Noir wines. To finish, enjoy a wine tasting at a local wine shop in the charming viallge of Chambolle-Misigny. At the end of the tour you’ll be transferred back to Beaune and dropped off at the tourist office at 5.45PM.

Travel to the Maison Veuve Ambal, a family-owned winery located in Montagny-lès-Beaune , on a 1.5-hour winery tour and tasting. The maison was established in the heart of Burgundy more than a century ago and has been making quality wines since 1898. Upon arrival you will be taken on a guided walk through the aging cellars and workshops. See the robots and automatons that make the sparkling wine and learn more about the process. Then continue to the Veuve Ambal shop, where you will have a guided tasting of 3 Crémant de Bourgogne drinks. Afterward, spend time browsing the shop and discussing your new wine knowledge. Option 1: Meet your local guide at 9:45 am in front of Parc Darcy's main gate in the center of Dijon and start the day with a drive through the renowned vineyards of Côte de Nuits to the center of the historic city of Beaune. Option 2: Meet your local guide at 11:00 am in front of the Hospices de Beaune and learn about the historic city of Beaune. Drive through Burgundy's picturesque countryside to our next destination, a charming estate where you'll start with a tasting of the estate’s exquisite wines. Discover the unique flavors and qualities of Burgundy's renowned wines. Following the tasting, enjoy a traditional lunch in the courtyard (if weather allows) featuring a delightful spread of local charcuterie, artisanal cheeses, and more of the estate’s wines. Savor these regional specialties in the serene setting of the estate, immersing yourself in Burgundy's rich culinary heritage. You will then get to discover the actual plots where some of the wines you just had come from, among which are some renowned Grand Crus plots, before driving through some emblematic places of the Côte de Beaune. In the historical village of Meursault, feel the intimacy of an independent winery and fully understand how the world-recognized Pinots and Chardonnays go from grape to bottle through the whole journey, then enjoy a unique commented tasting of several wines of the estate’s production. After a day full of experiences and precious memories, your guide will drop you off in Beaune at 4:30 pm or in Dijon at 5:00 pm.

Your guide reached the highest level of this school in London last year and has ten years of experience leading tasting to both amateurs and professionals. Then along with tasting wines, he will guide you through the different areas within Burgundy, the different grapes, the history, the rules of production, how to read a label in Burgundy etc.
