On this walking tour, we will explore the wonders that the city has to offer by strolling through ancient streets that are steeped in history. We will venture into the an ancient castle, where we will visit the old office of the Mayor of Sucre and admire the beautiful gardens. We will also walk along the street of Cats, where the city was born, and then proceed to see the indigenous art of the communities living near Sucre while taking in the stunning views of the mountains from a splendid viewpoint. During the tour, we will also visit the courtyards of the old public university. In the main square, we will learn about the city's rich history, culture, and vibrant cultural life. Finally, we will end the tour by exploring an old colonial square, from where will we have a beautiful view of Sucre. Sundays and holidays the program change a little, due to opening hours of some places that we visit.

The day starts at 8:30 in the morning when tourists are picked up from their hotels. A one-hour trip is taken to reach the colonial chapel of Chataquilla, where the trekking along the Inca trail begins (2 hours). At the end of the Inca trail, the car awaits us to take us to the Maragua Crater, where we have a delicious vegetarian lunch and visit the rock formation called La Garganta del Diablo (30 minutes). In the afternoon, we visit the dinosaur footprints (2 hours) and return to Sucre. If a weaver is available, we can see her, and she will explain the art of the Jalqa culture.

Discover the Cordillera de los Frailes on a guided hike from Sucre. Begin your adventure at dawn with a visit to a viewpoint point near the colonial chapel of Chataquilla, a significant meeting place for the Jalqa community. From the viewpoint, enjoy breathtaking views as you wait for the sunrise, accompanied by a breakfast snack. After the sunrise, visit the chapel of Chataquilla to learn about its history and cultural significance. Next, start a 20 minutes hike to the mountain's summit. From this vantage point, enjoy spectacular views of the Tumpeca Valley, the indigenous community of Chaunaca, the Maragua Crater, and part of the city of Sucre. As you continue the hike throughout the morning, take in the stunning scenery, including impressive geological formations, local flora, and forests. If we’re lucky, we might spot some Andean wildlife in the mountains. After 2 hours of walking, reach the Pumamachay cave to admire ancient cave paintings that date back thousands of years. Continue for about 30 more minutes to Incamachay, where you’ll find more cave paintings and traces of ancient communities. The hike then leads to the Jalqa community of Tumpeca, nestled in a valley near a river. Enjoy a vegetarian lunch in Maragua after departing from Tumpeca. From there, you’ll be treated to incredible views of the colorful mountains near Sucre, rich with various minerals. Inside the Maragua Crater, visit the Jalqa community of Maragua and the area known as the Devil's Throat, featuring a small waterfall and a stunning viewpoint. Finally, return to Sucre from the Maragua Crater, concluding your unforgettable journey.

First day (lunch and dinner included) 8:00 am – We will meet at the main entrance of Estadio Patria. 8:15 am to 9:30 am – From here we’ll take a public bus to Chataquila. (waiting time can vary depending on the number of passengers) Morning – We walked the Inca Trail, Chaunaca, and Socapampa area. Afternoon – We walked from Socapampa to the Maragua Crater, where we will spend the first night. We will visit a local weaver, who will show us the secrets of the textile art of this community. 16 kilometres approximately Second day (breakfast and lunch included) Morning – We started the day early, where we walked from the lodging to the dinosaur footprints in Niño Mayo. Then, we continued on to one little village called Chullpas. We walked through the mountains to the Potolo community, where we will have take the public transport to Sucre. 17 kilometers approximately The waiting time to return to Sucre usually varies, as the bus system doesn't have set schedules, but rather departs when the vehicle fills up. For that reason, it's advisable to arrive at the Potolo community before 1 p.m. The arrival time in Sucre varies between approximately 4 to 6 PM. Day 1. 8:30 pm show up at the bus office in Sucre to travel to Uyuni in a premium bus with a bed, with heating, blankets and a bathroom on board. Day 2. (Breakfast, lunch) Upon arrival in Uyuni, be picked up from the bus terminal and enjoy a delicious local breakfast. 10:30 am, the tour begins with a visit to the old train cemetery, visit the town of Colchani, the artisanal teindas, the salt processors, visit the Plaza de las Banderas, construction of monuments with blocks of salt, visit the Incahausi island , enjoy a local lunch at the Uyuni salt flat. Enjoy the sunset in the largest salt desert in the world. Transfer to Uyuni, rest in our environments before boarding the bus. Travel by premium sleeper bus back to Sucre Day 3. Arrive in Sucre at 4:30 am, we suggest taking a taxi to your hotel.

Day 1: Uyuni Salt Flat Tour from Sucre Transfer by tourist bus from Sucre – Uyuni (Departure 20:00 Hrs). Day 2: Uyuni – Uyuni Salt Flats First we will start with the pick up from the bus terminal in the town of Uyuni. Transfer to our cafeteria, where you can have a delicious breakfast. Pick up from the cafeteria to start the tour (10:30 Hrs) First we will go to the train cemetery to see the old locomotives. Then we go to the community of Colchani (the gateway to the Salar) where we will find rustic craft workshops and the rustic table salt microprocessor. Continuing with the expedition to the majestic Salar de Uyuni we will make stops to see salt extractions, the eyes of the salt flat and the Playa Blanca Salt Hotel that currently only works as a museum. Later we will visit the most popular island of the Salar located in the middle of the Salar, the Incahuasi Island where we will hike and appreciate large expanses of cacti, sea rock fossils and spectacular 360° views from the viewpoint. Finishing our tour, we headed to the town of Uyuni. *The company is only in charge of the logistics of this excursion, our representative will be waiting for you at your arrival in Uyuni.*

Day 1: Your tour begins with pickup from the airport (according to your itinerary of arrival). In the afternoon, your guide will pick you up up to carry out a city tour through the urban city of La Paz. You will visit Plaza Murillo, Palacio Presidencial, and Moon Valley, before taking a cable car ride. At the end of the service, your guide leave you at the Hotel Rosario to enjoy your dinner and rest. Day 2: Following breakfast, you will take a flight to Sucre. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel by your guide. Following that, explore the city of Sucre through a walk and visit the colonial streets of Sucre, La Recoleta, Parque Cretacico, and others. Day 3: Your second day will begin as you depart from Sucre in your private vehicle with your guide. From there, venture to Potosi and visit the mines, after which you will go to Uyuni. Following 4 hours of travel, you will spend the night in the Salt Hotel. Day 4: Your tour begins at 10:00AM, as you visit the cemetery of trains, the majestic Salar de Uyuni, and Incahuasi Island. Your tour eventually finishes at the Uyuni Airport from where you will take a flight back to La Paz. Upon arrival, your guide will transfer you to Hotel Gloria where you can rest. Day 5: Your private guide will pick you up at 7:30AM to take you to discover the famous Lake Titicaca, located in Copacabana. Whilst out at this famous lake, you can visit the floating islands: Moon Island and Sun Island. Following the lake, you will return to La Paz in a private vehicle. You will then overnight once more at Hotel Gloria. Day 6: On the final day of the tour, your guide will lead you to Tihuanacu where you will visit the archeological ruins. Whilst at these ruins, which are located about 3 hours from La Paz, you you will learn everything about this remarkable site as you visit the ruins of the Door of the Sun, Puma Punku, and the Monoliths. Upon returning to La Paz, your tour will conclude with drop-off at your place of preference.

Afternoon – In the afternoon, we continue the hike towards the Inca Machay cave paintings, enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain range. We descend from the caves to the town of Chaunaca, where we will spend the first night. 16 kilometres approximately Second day (breakfast, lunch and dinner included) Morning – We walked in the town of Chaunaca, and Socapampa area. It consists of the famous Tojorí with a delicious cheese empanada or the famous Bolivian buñuelos. Tojorí is a traditional Bolivian drink made from corn. It is a thick, hot beverage prepared by cooking ground corn kernels with water, and sometimes sugar and cinnamon are added for extra flavor.
