Then drive further along the Alsatian wine route, immerse yourself in the world of vineyards and products which make the Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr region’s reputation.  To test the region’s wine reputation, you will visit a typical wine cave and you can taste a big variety of wines such as Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot noir, and many more.  Your tour will end with Kaysersberg, where its high fortress dominates the city and serves as a reminder of both its strategic importance and its warlike past. After visiting these 4 wonders, our driver will bring you safely back to Colmar.

Experience immersive environments, informative films, 3D projections, tastings and more on this interactive tour of the Colmar chocolate museum.  The journey begins in a tropical forest where you will meet a small monkey eating cocoa pods, and learn about the harvesting the cocoa trees. Leaving the forest, you enter an Aztec temple that reveals the serpent god Quetzalcoatl, who, according to the legend, introduced cocoa on earth. Entering the next room, the floor creaks, the lamps stir, the windows reveal an azure sea ... The scene takes place in the 16th century, on a Spanish ship, where you'll discover cocoa's journey to Europe.  It's a century later that chocolate will enter the great European courts and you'll follow this journey and meet the luxurious equipment they made to drink this very special spice called cocoa. Don't miss the original flavors they offered at that time. Chocolate was also considered as a medication and you'll discover all the beliefs and truths about the benefits of cocoa.  The second floor is dedicated to industrialization and all the chocolatiers that made Alsace the largest producer of chocolate in France. Then, in the virtual demonstration, meet 3 chocolatiers who will present their recipes and all the tricks they use to make their perfect chocolates.

You’ll depart Strasbourg in the morning and make your first stop on this day-long tour in Colmar. Discover the charm of the old town, and visit the Pfister house, the Koïfhus, St. Martin’s Collegiate Church, and the picturesque neighborhoods of Little Venice. Explore the lovely village of Eguisheim, surrounded by vineyards. Admire its narrow streets, and the half-timbered houses with their colorful flowers.  Continue on to the fortified town of Riquewirh. Surrounded by ramparts, the village has survived wars and remained intact. See its tiny streets, fortified walls, and 16th-century houses, admiring the architectural harmony. You’ll have free time to explore the town and have lunch. After lunch you’ll follow the scenic Alsace Wine Route. Situated between the Rhine valley and the Vosges mountain range, the 60-year-old route winds across hilly slopes for over 170 kilometers. When you reach Haut Koenigsbourg Castle your guide will take you on a tour of the mighty fortress that overlooks the valley. Built during the 12th century, the Castle occupied a strategic position controlling the wine and wheat routes to the north and the salt route from the east.

Meet your cycling guide and your 2.5-hour program will begin with a short introduction to the city of Strasbourg. The ride takes you on a circuit through the imperial German district, the Neustadt and then on to see the European Institutions. Ride back through the Old Town, Petite France and see the covered bridges and the Vauban Dam. Cross the Pont du Corbeau and pass Gutenberg Place. You’ll soon arrive in front of the Notre Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, one of the highlights of the tour. See the Opera house on Place Broglie. Cycle along the small streets around the Cathedral and discover some hidden spots close to Place Saint Etienne. Passing through the Neustadt, arrive in the heart of the European district, where you’ll see the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Court for Human Rights. Enjoy a breath of fresh air in the Parc de l'Orangerie. On the way back to Place d'Austerlitz , cycle along a section of the city’s 14th-century wall.

So easy and fun, the Segway really is the best way to visit Colmar. After collecting your Segway and helmets at the only winery in Colmar, you will partake in a short training session in which you will become familiar with the equipment you will be using over the following 2 hours. Following this training session, you will follow your guide through the diverse neighborhoods, including the Old City Center, the German part, and the "Quartier des Maraichers". You will also experience some nature of the region, as you follow the 3 rivers of the town through a forest. At the conclusion of your tour, you will also have the option to book a wine tasting at the Martin Jund winery located in the center of Colmar.

Choose the shape and design of your chocolate. Layer your chocolate with toppings that such as orange stripes, marshmallows, hazelnut cubes, and mini-tablets. Take home your 250 to 300 g of chocolate. That is if you can resist eating it on the spot. Visit Le Musée Gourmand du Chocolat Choco-Story and enjoy 2 floors of exhibits which chronicle the history of chocolate, its origins in South America today. See a virtual demonstration performed by 3 chocolatier, and enjoy a chocolate tasting. Kids will delight in the engaging and chocolatey displays.
