After the castle, the open-top bus follows the famous Alsace Wine Route, making a stop at one of the region's most well-preserved medieval villages along the way, Riquewihr. The tour continues to Kaysersberg next, to marvel at its beautiful fortified bridge nestled amongst the quaint village surroundings. Start your day when you are picked up at your hotel or apartment in Colmar before beginning your tour through the Alsace in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan.  Departing from the historical center of Colmar, you will pass through the wine route along the beautiful vineyards and little villages, from there you can explore the typical Alsatian architecture which is magical, colorful, and unique. You will make a stop at the four wonders of the Alsace as they are called. The first one is Eguisheim, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Then drive further along the Alsatian wine route, immerse yourself in the world of vineyards and products which make the Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr region’s reputation.  To test the region’s wine reputation, you will visit a typical wine cave and you can taste a big variety of wines such as Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot noir, and many more.  Your tour will end with Kaysersberg, where its high fortress dominates the city and serves as a reminder of both its strategic importance and its warlike past. After visiting these 4 wonders, our driver will bring you safely back to Colmar.

Experience immersive environments, informative films, 3D projections, tastings and more on this interactive tour of the Colmar chocolate museum.  The journey begins in a tropical forest where you will meet a small monkey eating cocoa pods, and learn about the harvesting the cocoa trees. Leaving the forest, you enter an Aztec temple that reveals the serpent god Quetzalcoatl, who, according to the legend, introduced cocoa on earth. Entering the next room, the floor creaks, the lamps stir, the windows reveal an azure sea ... The scene takes place in the 16th century, on a Spanish ship, where you'll discover cocoa's journey to Europe.  It's a century later that chocolate will enter the great European courts and you'll follow this journey and meet the luxurious equipment they made to drink this very special spice called cocoa. Don't miss the original flavors they offered at that time. Chocolate was also considered as a medication and you'll discover all the beliefs and truths about the benefits of cocoa.  The second floor is dedicated to industrialization and all the chocolatiers that made Alsace the largest producer of chocolate in France. Then, in the virtual demonstration, meet 3 chocolatiers who will present their recipes and all the tricks they use to make their perfect chocolates.

You’ll depart Strasbourg in the morning and make your first stop on this day-long tour in Colmar. Discover the charm of the old town, and visit the Pfister house, the Koïfhus, St. Martin’s Collegiate Church, and the picturesque neighborhoods of Little Venice. Explore the lovely village of Eguisheim, surrounded by vineyards. Admire its narrow streets, and the half-timbered houses with their colorful flowers.  Continue on to the fortified town of Riquewirh. Surrounded by ramparts, the village has survived wars and remained intact. See its tiny streets, fortified walls, and 16th-century houses, admiring the architectural harmony. You’ll have free time to explore the town and have lunch. After lunch you’ll follow the scenic Alsace Wine Route. Situated between the Rhine valley and the Vosges mountain range, the 60-year-old route winds across hilly slopes for over 170 kilometers. When you reach Haut Koenigsbourg Castle your guide will take you on a tour of the mighty fortress that overlooks the valley. Built during the 12th century, the Castle occupied a strategic position controlling the wine and wheat routes to the north and the salt route from the east.

Meet your cycling guide and your 2.5-hour program will begin with a short introduction to the city of Strasbourg. The ride takes you on a circuit through the imperial German district, the Neustadt and then on to see the European Institutions. Ride back through the Old Town, Petite France and see the covered bridges and the Vauban Dam. Cross the Pont du Corbeau and pass Gutenberg Place. You’ll soon arrive in front of the Notre Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, one of the highlights of the tour. See the Opera house on Place Broglie. Cycle along the small streets around the Cathedral and discover some hidden spots close to Place Saint Etienne. Passing through the Neustadt, arrive in the heart of the European district, where you’ll see the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Court for Human Rights. Enjoy a breath of fresh air in the Parc de l'Orangerie. On the way back to Place d'Austerlitz , cycle along a section of the city’s 14th-century wall.

Try your hand at creating a tasty and beautiful chocolate treat with a Chocolate making workshop. Spend 45 minutes with a chocolatier and learn how to decorate your very own chocolate bar. Choose the shape and design of your chocolate. Layer your chocolate with toppings that such as orange stripes, marshmallows, hazelnut cubes, and mini-tablets. Take home your 250 to 300 g of chocolate. That is if you can resist eating it on the spot. Visit Le Musée Gourmand du Chocolat Choco-Story and enjoy 2 floors of exhibits which chronicle the history of chocolate, its origins in South America today. See a virtual demonstration performed by 3 chocolatier, and enjoy a chocolate tasting. Kids will delight in the engaging and chocolatey displays.

Explore the main sights of Colmar in Alsace, from Renaissance dwellings to Gothic sanctuaries, on a walking tour of the Old Town. Learn why the town occupies an important place in the region as the “Capital of Alsace Wines”. Discover the many charming architectural and cultural treasures of this Haut-Rhin town with a local guide. Admire the traditional colorful half-timbered houses. Your 3-country adventure begins with pickup from your accommodation in Colmar. On your way to Germany, you’ll pass by the fortified village of Neuf-Brisach, a UNESCO world heritage site dating back to the late 17th century.  From there, you'll drive to Germany and visit Freiburg, one of the treasures of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Amble through the streets that seem ripped straight from a fairytale, taking note of the channels of water that runs right alongside sidewalks. Afterward, you'll pass through another border bound for Basel in Switzerland. Divided into 2 parts by the Rhine river, the city has much to offer, with its picturesque bridges, narrow, winding alleyways, and stunning cathedrals.  Wandering through the medieval town of Great Basel, look for the unique cultural aspects of the city that differentiate it from other Swiss towns. Your day trip ends in perhaps the most charming and beautiful village in France: Eguisheim. Situated just south of Colmar, the town runs in concentric circles around a central plaza.  With tightly packed antique houses painted in brightly-colored hues, quaint shops, and a medieval castle, there are few villages in the world that so truly harken back to another age. Once your border-crossing adventure is over, you’ll return to your accommodation in Colmar.

You will depart at 10:00am from Colmar. Pass through vineyards and taste some wine on the way to see these historical villages. The villages are each differently decorated for Christmas.
