Great, goes a good route, plenty to see! Some confusion over a bus stop that appeared to have been moved, ended up missing 2 buses due to drivers using different stops but overall, worth the money and definitely easier than using public transport to see everything.

  • From Budapest: Gödöllő Royal Sissi Guided Tour

    4. From Budapest: Gödöllő Royal Sissi Guided Tour

Your 4-hour tour begins with a drive from Budapest to Gödöllö, site of the former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth, who was known as Sissi. This palace is the second-largest Baroque chateau in the world, and an estate that has preserved the atmosphere of 19th century royal splendor. Led by your knowledgeable guide, you’ll enjoy a tour of the renovated castle, and walk along the same hallways, on the same staircases, and through the lovely park as the Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary. At the end of your guided tour, you’ll be transferred back to your central Budapest hotel.

Well organized bus trip to the palace but too much talking by the 3 guides in 4 different translations. The palace is a reconstructed and repainted version of the original rooms. Little is original. Not much historical information about her life

The overall experience was nice. The red route is worthwhile but the yellow one certainly needs to be improved. Another comment: it was not clearly stated that the night bus tour was not included in the price. We thought that since we had bought the 48 hours ticket it would have been included. And we were never informed that the beer and the goulash dish were supposed to be offered in another place and not on board. So , try to be more specific in order to avoid misunderstandings
