I loved this day! This has been my favourite activity in Thailand they were really beautiful friendly creatures and I enjoyed every minute of the day. Really glad I chose the full day option as we got time to do a lot more than just take a couple of photos with them. Really friendly, easy going staff and mahouts, a very relaxed and enjoyable day. Lunch was delicious and we were supplied clothes and shoes to wear with the elephants (it does get a little wet and muddy) and towels to shower with after.
I would highly recommend this experience, it was a wonderful day put and we learned alot of helpful tips, Joy our instructor was an absolute joy, she was extremely knowledgeable, patient and fun. The food we created was sublime. We enjoyed the market and the organic farm experience, it was very informative. We walked away with full bellies and confident we could 're create at home. It was amazing and relaxing all in one.
One of the beat experiences ever!! The drive was easy and quick from Chiang Mai. Contacting the staff was easy which was great. The elephants seem very happy at the retirement park and are very well taken care of. Being able to care, touch, and bathe the elephants was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever done! This is a must do in Thailand! Thank you for a great experience :-)
This was a FANTASTIC adventure. Once in a life time experience!!! At 73 I experienced up close & personal with elephants. One elephant attached itself to me and made me aware of what it wanted ie, go swimming, even to see my sister at another area of reserve. Elephant Thong was my buddy of the day rather I wanted it or not. After an hour with her, I now miss my dear baby!!!!
We ended up having a private lesson because it was the early days of coronavirus and all other tourists had canceled their trip. Rachel was a great guide. Funny, fun, informative, great conversation while instructing. We loved getting to learn about the fresh ingredients and what purpose they served in recipes.
