Our guide was great and, in addition to small anecdotes from the island, also had drinks and banana chips for us. First we went to the waterfalls, past two viewing points, where we stopped briefly for photos. The drive was quite long, so if you don't like driving and especially don't like winding roads, you should avoid this trip. The area around the waterfalls is super beautiful, green, and unspoiled. The climb is a bit more difficult, however, and if you imagine a swim under the waterfall, you're wrong. Unfortunately, that's not possible there. So we only had a shower, but that was just as breathtaking. Then we went to a filming location for 'Pirates of the Caribbean', which was unfortunately very sobering. The place was actually very nice, but everything else was rather unloving and shabby... We really could have saved ourselves that. Then we went to a beautiful beach, where we spent some time. All in all, it was a nice trip, but unfortunately too expensive for what it offered.

We arrived on the island by cruise ship and were met directly behind the ship terminal. Our guide was a local who was very friendly and helpful. Austin (our guide) gave us great information the entire time and was very knowledgeable about everything. We first visited the waterfalls, which were the overall highlight of the tour. The waterfalls were a bit difficult to reach. There are a few steps and a few obstacles (rocks); sturdy shoes are recommended. After that, we visited the Pirates of the Caribbean film set, which is located in a beautiful bay. The beach was in another beautiful bay. The trip was rounded off with a visit to the botanical garden, which also includes a breeding station for the native parrot. Overall, a very successful trip. Our guide was great and spoke very proudly about his country and his people. There were only six of us.
