We start the tour from your hotel and head towards the Sumidero Canyon, where we will take a 2-hour boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon to the Grijalva River dock, where you can observe the local flora and fauna. As we progress through the tour, we will stop at a 16th-century fountain designed in the Mudejar style as we approach the historic city of Chiapa de Corzo, founded by Captain Diego de Mazariegos in 1528. We take advantage of the opportunity to continue our tour and visit 3 of the 5 viewpoints that make up the Sumidero Canyon to end the tour. You will return to your hotel at approximately 6:00 pm.

Experience the breathtaking views of Sumidero Canyon on a day tour from San Cristóbal de Las Casas. Admire the canons from some wonderful viewpoints, journey through the canyon on a boat ride, and explore the charming town of Chiapa de Corzo. Start with pickup from your hotel and travel by air-conditioned bus to some of the best viewpoints of the Sumidero Canyon. Enjoy the panoramic views of this vast geological wonder. Then, embark on a 90-minute boat trip through the canyon. Marvel at the imposing canyon walls and the rich biodiversity of flora and fauna that can be found in the area. After the boat trip head to the quaint town of Chiapa de Corzo. Enjoy 1 hour of free time to wander through its charming streets, visit the local cathedral, and browse for local textiles and crafts at the many stalls in the town. Finally, board the bus and relax on the return journey to San Cristóbal.

This fun journey begins by meeting at "Al Grano" Café located in front of the central park in downtown San Cristóbal de Las Casas to board the tourist transportation and begin our journey. Upon arriving in Tuxtla, we will start by visiting the magnificent viewpoints of the Sumidero Canyon to appreciate its majesty from another perspective. We will tour two of the main viewpoints. We will then head to the dock to sail and admire the impressive geology of the Sumidero Canyon through the Grijalva River, where we can also observe the diversity of flora and fauna (crocodiles, monkeys, and countless birds). Later, we will head to the Colonial City of Chiapa de Corzo where you will have time to visit, tour each place at your own pace, and buy beautiful local handicrafts. To conclude this adventure, we will take the passengers back to San Cristóbal de Las Casas, dropping you off at the "Al Grano" Café in the city center in front of the central park, so you can return to your lodging on your own to rest and enjoy the unforgettable memories that your mind and heart created with this wonderful trip.

Departure at 9:00 am at the reception of your hotel and transfer to the Sumidero Canyon formed by the Grijalva River, a 2-hour boat ride in the Sumidero Canyon where you can see native flora and fauna species of the region. Continuing with the tour, we head to the ancient city of Chiapa de Corzo founded in 1528 by Captain Diego de Mazariegos, we will visit a Mudejar-style fountain built in the 16th century, continuing with our tour we will visit 3 of the 5 viewpoints that make up the Sumidero Canyon, to end the tour we will move to San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. Rest of the afternoon free. Return to the colonial city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas at approximately 5:00 pm.

After breakfast leaving from your lodging in San Cristóbal de las Casas, we depart for the majestic Sumidero Canyon. We will take a boat for a 2-hour journey on the Grijalva River, where you will witness limestone walls reaching up to 1,000 meters, waterfalls feeding the river, and unique natural formations such as "The Christmas Tree," "The Cave of the Virgin," and the "Symbol of Chiapas." Following our tour of the Sumidero Canyon, we will visit the magical town of Chiapa de Corzo, founded in 1528 by Captain Diego de Mazariegos. Here, you can admire "La Fuente Colonial" with its authentic Mudejar design, and enjoy the exquisite Chiapanecan cuisine. Stroll through the town center to discover beautiful embroidery seen in the colorful regional costumes of Chiapaneca and Parachico, as well as crafts and brilliant lacquer pieces. Our visit to Chiapa de Corzo concludes with a 1-hour journey along the Tuxtla - San Cristóbal highway, ascending to 2,300 meters above sea level, and arriving at the most magical town in Mexico, San Cristóbal de las Casas. It is important to know that the viewpoints are closed every Tuesday, in case you choose that day for your tour.

We will travel to Cascadas el Chiflón, the most beautiful waterfalls in Chiapas, where we will embark on a tour that lasts almost two hours, beginning with the waterfalls located downstream and including the following: The main Velo de Novia Waterfall, the highest and most powerful waterfall in Chiapas, is a stunning curtain of water 70 meters high with a vista and is without a doubt the most impressive in the area. Other nearby waterfalls include Cascada El Suspiro, Cascada Ala de ngel, Cascada Arco Iris, Cascada Quinceaera, and Cascada Quinceaera. Following that, we continue our excursion to the Montebello Lagoons, one of the nation's most stunning natural sites because of its surface and underground aquatic environments. Here, we will see lagoons like Lake Tziscao, Laguna Pojoj, Lake Montebello, Laguna Enchanted, and the dream lagoon, known for the hues of its waters.

Experience the natural beauty of Sumidero Canyon on a 2-hour boat tour and explore the historic town of Chiapa de Corzo on a 4-5 hour excursion from Tuxtla Gutierrez. Depart at 9:00 am from your hotel or the bus terminal, and transfer to the Malecon del Cañon del Sumidero in 30 minutes. Board the boat and marvel at the stunning canyon landscapes during the 2-hour tour. After returning to the Malecon, a 20-minute van ride will take you to Chiapa de Corzo. Spend over an hour exploring this charming town, known for its 16th-century architecture and vibrant culture. Finally, enjoy a comfortable transfer back to your hotel or the bus terminal. This tour includes pick-up and drop-off service, transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, a Spanish-speaking driver guide, entrance to Sumidero Canyon National Park, a 2-hour boat tour, a visit to Chiapa de Corzo, bottled water, and travel insurance. Depart from San Cristobal, The first visit is the viewpoints of the Sumidero Canyon (except Tuesday), we will visit 2 or 3 main ones, then we will continue to the pier to take the boat that will take you through the impressive Sumidero Canyon. Note: On Tuesday you do not visit the canyon viewpoints because it is closed, but you do visit by boat

The experience begins in Tuxtla Gutiérrez at 10:00 a.m. from a central meeting point. We’ll start with a visit to the scenic viewpoints overlooking the Sumidero Canyon (except on Tuesdays, when the viewpoints are closed for park ranger rest). From these heights, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the towering canyon walls that rise over 1,000 meters. Next, we’ll head to the Chicoasén dam jetty, where you’ll board a boat for a 1 hour and 45-minute ride through the heart of the Sumidero Canyon. Along the way, you'll witness impressive natural rock formations, colorful caves, and an abundance of wildlife including crocodiles, monkeys, and a variety of birds. The journey continues with a stop in the charming colonial town of Chiapa de Corzo. You’ll have free time to explore its central square, visit historical landmarks, and browse traditional handicrafts. We’ll then head to San Cristóbal de las Casas, where this full-day adventure concludes in one of Mexico’s most magical towns.
