Start your tour from the convenience of your hotel room in Bagan. Your driver will be there to meet you at 8:00am and after a short meet and greet, you will set-off to your destination. Hop in your air-conditioned vehicle with your personal driver and take a 48km drive south east of Bagan. Along the way you will have the opportunity to take in the picturesque scenery en route to your destination.  Once you arrive at your destination, Mt. Popa, you will start your ascent to the top of the extinct volcanic mountain. The hike up the mountain allows for beautiful sightseeing, not to mention animal spotting as the area is inhabited by monkeys. Whilst also on your ascent you will witness old monasteries built into the mountain, shrines and places of worship. Once you have hit the top you will have beautiful views of Popa Oasis.  Enjoy a delicious lunch at Popa Mountain Resort whilst taking in the spectacular views. Then, start your relaxing drive back to your accomodation in Bagan. On the way, take a short break at toddy palm plantation, visit a local village and get the chance to meet some of the locals.

2. Bagan: Sa Lay Mount Popa Day Tour

Your tour will begin as you are collected from your accommodation in Bagan at around 8:00AM, from where you will journey to Sa Lay. Once there you can explore the Yoke Sone Monastery, which is the oldest surviving wooden monastery hall. The monastery is built on 154 teak posts, and features beautiful woodcarving decorating the outer walls. Whilst there, you can also visit the Hnee Phaya, as well as a local market in Salay. You will then drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano over 1,500 meters high which is about 48 kilometers south-east of Bagan. You will have lunch here, before climbing up to the top of the mountain. On the way to the top of the mountain you will see local monkeys running around, and once at the top you will discover a collection of monasteries and worship shrines. From the top of the mountain you will be able to view the beautiful green environment of Popa Oasis, which will create a 360-degree panorama around you. On your return to Bagan later that evening, you will make a short break at a toddy palm plantation.

3. Bagan: Full-Day Temple Tour

After hotel pick-up at 8:00 AM, drive to Nyaung Oo and stroll through the colorful local market. Visit the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda, which is Bagan's most important reliquary shrine. Look out for images of the 37 nats (spirits) housed in a small hall. Continue to Gubyaukgyi, another cave temple with fine frescoes of the Jataka Tales. Next stop is Htilominlo, the last Bamar style temple built in Bagan, with old murals and friezes. Continue to Ananda Temple, a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with well-preserved murals. Make a photo stop at the tallest temple. Enjoy various kinds of food from Myanmar at lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, watch craftsmen make Bagan handicrafts at a lacquerware factory. Continue to Damayangyi, a temple famous for its mortar-less brickwork. Next, visit Sulamani, one of Bagan’s great two-storied Bamar style temples. Then, visit Gubyaukgyi Temple admiring the fine decorative exterior. Stop at Myazedi stupa to see Myanmar's "Rosetta Stone", bearing inscriptions written in four languages. Continue to Nanpaya Temple, with intricate stone carvings. See the four Buddha images in Manuha Pagoda. Transfer to jetty to board the local boat and enjoy a sunset boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy River. Transfer back to your hotel.

Begin your tour at a colorful local market. Continue with a visit to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including Shwezigone Pagoda, which was a prototype of the later Myanmar stupa, Wetkyi Inn Gubyaukgyi Temple. See the fine mural painting of Jataka scenes, Htilominlo, and Ananda four standing Buddha images.  After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the lacquer ware workshop. Visit Pyadatgyi, Manuha Temple, and Gu Pyauk Gyi Pagoda. In the evening, travel by horse cart to see the highest temple in Bagan Thatbyinnyu, the massive Dhammayangyi Temple, and Sulamani Temple. Complete your tour by viewing the sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda.

5. Bagan: Temple, Market & Lacquerware Workshop Tour with Lunch

Start your day-tour from the convenience of your accomodation where you driver will be to meet you. First stop on your Bagan adventure - the local markets. Once you arrive at the markets feel free to peruse the stores and watch the locals as they go about their daily shopping.  With your guide you will visit some of the most significant pagodas and temples in Bagan. Here you will be able to admire the architecture and learn a bit about the history of some of these spiritually important buildings. Visit places like Shwezigone Pagoda, Wetkyi Inn Gubyaukgyi Temple with it's murals of Jataka scenes, Ananda and Htilominlo. Take a break during your exciting schedule to stop for a bite to eat at a local restaurant. Try your hand at some of the local delicacies that make the food in this area so unique. After lunch, visit a lacquerware workshop where you will have the experience to learn the craft for 1 or 2-hours. Follow this with a visit to Manuha temple, Thatbyinnyu - the highest temple in Bagan and Dhamayangyi Temple. End your tour with a breathtaking view of the sunset from BuPhaya Pagoda. From here you will be transferred back to your hotel in Bagan.
