Our day trip across Transylvania was great! My friend and I really felt like we got a locals perspective on the region thanks to our guide Catalin, who was very knowledgeable about the region and had an answer to all our questions, no matter how off topic they were sometimes. My favorite part of the tour was definitely Sigishoara, just walking around the enclosure was lovely and the clock tower had great views! Additionally, Catalin went above and beyond after I left my water bottle in his car. He took time from his day off to drop it off at my hostel! His kindness was very much appreciated.

Amazingly beautiful day in Transylvania

The best element of the trip was our guide Cristian. He gave us a broad historical introduction, both related to the places we visited, and to the history of Romania in general. Very, very exciting. Sigishora was a really nice city, with a cozy atmosphere. Brancastel was beautiful and had an exciting history - there was not much vampire / horror atmosphere over the place though, so if that is what you expect you may well be disappointed :) The drive was long, but incredibly beautiful, with mountains, forest, cows on the road and horse-drawn car All in all, we clearly recommend leaving.

Tour guide guide narrative much more interesting than just visiting.

Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. It was a long day and we’ve been vacationing for two weeks already, wearing out, but Joseph kept our interest! He made sure we learned about all the key points. He kept us hydrated and gave us sufficient own time. Highly recommended!
