Hop into an open vehicle and drive along the park's many roads in an area known to be rich in both plant and animal life. Your experienced safari guide will take you to some of the best places to see animals. Spot vast herds of herbivores and be on the lookout for the big cats that hunt them. Look for cheetahs, impalas, zebras, wildebeest, and the many other species that call this reserve home. A full day in the park also increases your chances of seeing Africa's Big 5, the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo. 3. From Johannesburg: 3-Day Budget Kruger National Park Safari

DAY 1: Johannesburg Hotel/Hostel or O.R. Tambo Airport pickup and drive to Tremisana Game Lodge. At 17h00, board the open Landcruiser for an exciting Sunset Drive. After dark, use spotlights to locate nocturnal animals. Dinner will be an unforgettable BUSH BBQ deep in the African bush. After dinner continue with the Night Drive and overnight in your tent at Campfire Academy. DAY 2: Guests and their luggage are collected at around 06h45 and taken to Tremisana for breakfast. They will see many elephants and lions sleeping in the road in the early morning. They will experience the beautiful of savannah woodlands that is destroyed by elephants. The tour guide will interpret everything during game drive. Clients will see many hippopotamus and crocodiles. Cheetahs are likely to be spotted when entering Kruger through Crocodile Bridge gate. Enter the park as the sun begins to rise and the temperatures are still cool. The animals are more active in the early morning hours, making this an ideal time to spot kudus, impala, lions, wildebeest, zebras, elephants, and other wildlife. Stop for breakfast (cost not included), enjoying around one hour of free time to fuel up for the day ahead. Then, hop back aboard your open safari vehicle and continue exploring the African bush. Your day will begin as you are picked up at Hazyview from where you will head for the Kruger National Park. Throughout your experience, you will have exclusive use of the vehicle for you and your group only. The first session of your safari is roughly 3 hours long, and will involve you seeing and learning about the animals and plant life. Following your first morning safari, you will enjoy a breakfast stop of about 45 minutes. Once your breakfast break is complete, you will continue your safari, exploring the Kruger Park Rivers and mountain areas. You will also of course discover many other animals for a further 3 hours. Day 1: Depart Johannesburg and drive by air-conditioned microbus through the Elands Valley to Nelspruit. Marvel at the citrus farms along the way. Then, enter Kruger National Park in time for lunch. The highly experienced field guides will share their knowledge of the 147 species of mammals, more than 500 species of birds and 336 species of trees which make this 2 million hectare space their home. The recorded presence of man – including bushman rock paintings and archaeological sites, are conserved along with the Park’s natural assets. If time permits, at least one of these will be included in the trip.  From an open safari vehicle, you can smell the dust and the sun-warmed grass, listen to the cicadas and the cry of the fish eagles and enjoy the heat of an African day. However, you are also able to choose a safari in a closed, air-conditioned vehicle. This is a pleasant and comfortable option especially in very hot weather, for older guests and for families travelling with young children.

Day One: Start your tour with pickup from all hotels, guesthouses, and private homes in Gauteng, as well as from Johannesburg Airport. Travel via the Highveld farmlands to the picturesque subtropical Lowveld and on to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Balule Section of the Kruger Park. After a short break, during which you may unwind at the bar, have a swim or relax in the tropical gardens, then board the open Landcruiser for a 4-hour Sunset Drive. Your guide will show you various animals and birds. After dark, use spotlights to locate nocturnal species. Dinner will be a Bush Braai in a Marula Tree Boma deep in the African bush. Spend the night in comfortable airconditioned en suite thatch-roofed chalets. Day Two: Awaken at sunrise for an exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life. Drive to a remote venue, where you’ll enjoy a 4-hour “walk in the wild.” Your experienced field guides will lead you through the bush at a pace you can handle in search of the Big Five. The thrill of following Africa’s large animals until you are close enough to take a decent photo will remain with you forever. Adrenalin surges will be acute, notwithstanding the fact that your rangers are adequately armed in case of danger. Return to Tremisana for brunch. Later you may sleep in your air-conditioned chalet or swim in the pool. Visit the game viewing Hide overlooking Tremisana Dam. Lunch will be served at 1:30 PM. At 3:30 PM, enjoy a 4-hour Sundowner Game Drive. On the game drive, your rangers will be in radio contact, so as to keep us informed of the movements of the game. Return to Tremisana at around 7:30 PM. Day Three: Travel to the Orpen Gate of Kruger Park, where you’ll board your open Gameviewer. The absence of windows and the elevated vantage position allow for excellent photographic opportunities. You will have an amazing chance not only to view game, but also to listen to and smell the African bush and its denizens. There will be regular stops at picnic spots, rest camps, and places of interest. Your experienced ranger will show you many animals and birds that frequent this wildlife paradise. The Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi regions boast open plains and support large herds of zebra, giraffe, and antelope that attract numerous predators. In fact, the zones you’ll visit have the highest concentration of lions in Africa. Day Four: Enjoy an early morning Sunrise Drive on the Open Landcruiser. After a hearty breakfast, there will be time to purchase some memorabilia from the shop and take your last photos of the luxuriant lush gardens at Tremisana. Then, drive to the awesome Three Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon. Return to Gauteng in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off is available by arrangement.

Your full-day (eight to nine-hour) safari drive into the Kruger National Park will begin before sunrise, with pickup from any hotel or address in the vicinity of Hoedspruit in one of our open safari vehicles, giving you a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view of the animals. Your guide will use their professional skills and knowledge to assist you in looking for and finding the park's most famous animals, as well as explaining some natural phenomena. All that remains then in making it a never-to-forget-experience, is to follow your guide's instructions, keep a safe distance from the animals and refrain from feeding or teasing them, in order not to disrupt the natural balance of this magnificent ecosystem. i You will be picked up from your specified location in or near Hoedspruit between 05:30 and 06:00 to enter the Kruger National Park at Orpen Gate, geared and ready for a safe and respectful wildlife viewing experience. During the morning drive you will explore the diverse regions near Orpen, known for its savannah grasslands and abundant wildlife – hopefully including some nocturnal animals and big cats. A great experience and the guides really made an effort to track down animals. Of the Big Five, we did not see any buffalos or rhinos in the park. Our guide did a great job with the lions, eventually found them! An experience to never forget!
