Thank you David! It was the perfect mix of detailed history, delivered with appropriate wit and passion for such a beautiful opera house. We could have listened for hours. Attentive to the tour guests making sure everyone had the same opportunity for photographs. This attention to guests is repeated by your other guides, (Charles?sorry!) at the last supper for example. Would definitely use this company again. All meeting point details spot on, very slick arrangements. Have not been so lucky with other guides/companies. Thank you so much!,
The Museum of La Scala tour was very interesting, but we were disappointed because for the main purpose of our visit, the theatre, there was little time. We saw the foyer (nice, but nothing special) and the inside of the theatre just for a brief moment from a box. There was a rehearsal on the stage, so I understand that we couldn't go around, but if we had known it would be like that, probably we would not have booked the tour. The guide, Morena, was very good.
First: the visit of the museum with an EXCELLENT guide (June 11 ). It was supposed to be in Italian but as we were 4 French people it was in French and it lasted one hour and a half. We were very lucky. And if you want to get the most of La Scala, the museum is a prerequisite. As there was an annual meeting we couldn't get into the theatre. We could visit it the following morning. We were led to a box from where admired the interior at leisure.
The guide was very good, excellent English, he gave a clear and entertaining (although over all too quickly) introduction to the history of the building, the colorful and powerful people associated with the Theatre; the performers and performances at La Scala. It was also good to be able to take our time and continue to explore the museum after the tour - the costumes were also amazing.
It was a very pleasant experience. The guide gave her best during the tour and she tried to inform us about the most of pieces of information. I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately we couldn't see more of the interior of the Opear Hall, 'cause there was an ongoing show during our visit. The whole stuff was extremely polite, so this tour made my day on Saturday.
