What people are saying about Dead Sea

A great way to see a mix of culture and nature all in one day

My boyfriend and I joined a group of 40 tourists both national and international to visit and learn all about Jerusalem followed by some down time at the Dead Sea. A few tips for people like myself who haven’t travelled in this area before. Girls wear a skirt or pants or dress covering your knees and take an over shirt or scarf to cover your shoulders and chest. You don’t need to wear the scarf all the time but you cannot enter some of the sites without this attire. Men can wear a long short and shirt but if you’re Aussie we wear short shorts haha so maybe pants and a change of shorts for later. This wasn’t really something we were briefed on which wasn’t a negative but good to know. The insight our guide gave us was amazing, which he explained while exploring three of the Jerusalem quarters. Our guide was very knowledgeable explaining the rich history in a reality lovely way. Lunch was delish and the perfect amount of downtime by the sea afterwards. Highly recommended!

It was a nice trip :), you can book it without fear.

I booked it from Jerusalem to Jerusalem. They picked up us at our Hostel (Abraham Hostel), we were six. They picked up at 8:45. After we picked up some other people in Jerusalem. First we headed to Ein-Gedi and we jumped into the AHAVA factory shop :) - it is the same price at the airport. After we went to Masada. We go to the top with cable car, it was nice. Everything was paid (tickets), we did not have to wait for buying tickets. We have nearly 2 hours at Masada, after we went to Ein-Gedi to the "beach". At the beach there is a small boutiqe, restaurant, we had spent a lunch, it was "ok", nothing special, fish, meat, salad. It is payable, not free, not included in the tour. We deeped into the Dead See, it was nice, there was a bathroom in the restaurant where you can change your dress, and take a shower. After we went to back Jerusalem at 5-6 o"clock as I remember. The complete team was 16 people + the tour guide + the driver.

Incredibile places, excellent organization & the best Cicero possibile

Masada is breathtaking, the place itself, the view, the history of the region, the Building of the fortress and the history of the famous rebellion... Everything was so interesting, moving, and amazingly told... As an italian girl with a strong passion for history, archeology and art, I'm not so easy to impresa, but at the end of the day I came back to my place feeling so thankful and rich. I recommend the tour to Masada ti everyone and the relaxing couple of hours at the Dead Sea is a pleasurable Moment, the cherry on top of a perfect experience and day. Thank you, Lorne! You've been amazing, at the same time a great "Bard" and story-teller, entertaining, smart and fine, and so precise, scientific and academic. Wish you the best and I hope to come back soon to the amazing Israel

Bus used for transformation did not meet legal requirements

I would like to raise your attention to the condition of the bus used for transportation. Several seat belts were damaged so that you could not open the lock as the plastic button was broken. Driver opened one with a screw driver after which the tour guide asked us to keep our seat belts so that it looks they are fastened as it is required by the law. Many people were therefore forced to choose between keeping the seat belt unfastened or fastening it and facing the risk that they can not leave the vehicle in an emergency as the seat belt could not be opened without external help. I think neither of these options is acceptable. Israel tourism officials.

Beautiful and amazing places to see - but the organisation was bad!

The tour was beautiful and Masada, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea are amazing to visit! But the organisation was very bad! We lost 1-2 hours because drove right throught Jerusalem to get in our Guide. And his English was very bad!! We almost did not understand anything. The Lunch was late (at 3 pm). And we wish to have more time at Ein Gedi. At the end the Guide and the Drover came back 30 minutes to late. But all in one - the places we have seen were amazing and i would like to go there again!
