What people are saying about Monteverde

It was really good to do this tour independently, without a guide, and make our own way around this clearly-signposted trail. Home to four magnificent waterfalls, this El Tigre trail was quite a hike, so it was great to be able to ride a horse up from the bottom after 5kms of undulating trail through the jungle. Despite not having ridden for 12 years, I still felt very safe and in control of my steed on the 3km way up to a hearty casados meal.

Everything went well. We were picked up from our accommodation and driven back after the tour. On the one hand, it was fine with us that we walked through the park alone, but on the other hand, we would probably have seen more animals with someone accompanying us.

The tour was great. The water in the waterfall was a bit cold so my teenagers didn‘t go in but i did and it was very refreshing. Horse riding was great the guides were very helpful. I was afraid initially and they helped me to feel confident on the horse

We had an amazing time! It’s beautiful! Very well organized. Perhaps only caution potential tourists who suffer from vertigo or are afraid of heights on what to expect regarding bridges and mountain trails. This trek can be challenging at times.

It’s very very personal and we got hot chocolate at the end
