  • From Marrakesh: Ourika Valley & Atlas Mountains Day Tour

    2. From Marrakesh: Ourika Valley & Atlas Mountains Day Tour

Experience the beauty of the Ourika Valley up-close on this full-day scenic tour from Marrakesh, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city for the day. The Ourika Valley is the closest day trip from Marrakesh, but it’s not just its convenience that makes it special. Drive towards the Atlas Mountains, taking in the beautiful landscape of green meadows and authentic 16th and 17th-century Berber villages. If you take your tour on a Monday, you can even stop at a roadside souk. See fruit orchards, vegetable terraces, and villages clinging to the side of hills. Marvel at the labor undertaken by the Berbers who hoisted materials to construct small houses up mountain sides, and work the terraces in a hostile environment. Continue along the valley of palm trees, following the Ourika River. Fruit trees, tiny hamlets, riverside restaurants, and the summer homes of the wealthy will keep you o...

The trip to Ourika was fun. Both the guide, Mohammed and the driver Omar were excellent in their roles. The hike to the falls was nice and can be done easily, Mohammed was extremely helpful even with passersby, making sure that no one gets hurt navigating the rocky parts of the hike. The view of the valley from the hilltops is just beautiful.

  • Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride

Your guide will help you decide on the length of your tour (you can choose between 1 and 3 hours) and then you will make your way to the largest and highest village in Imlil Valley. Your journey will take you past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa and Imoula. You will stop...

Overall it was nice but there was few things that could be improved. First of all during our first stop to see a village, the guide got a little too deep in the history of the village and Islam in general which was interesting only for first few minutes. The Argan oil house was a nice experience with breakfast and tea served for us there. One thing that was the most disappointing was the camel ride as the spot was just on the side of a road with all the camels tied together so that when we were riding them, camels head was tied to the other camels bum in front of him. It just felt quite uncomfortable and definitely not what we thought it would be.

I hope to return one day to complete the 3 day hike to the peak of Mt. Toubkal with my guide. Thank you, Abdul!

This half day experience is very fulfilling and is an awesome trip. We were concerned that we wouldn't get much out of a half day but it was a perfect time to see an authentic Moroccan village. The guide was very knowledgable and each stop was spent taking pictures and learning more about the Berber culture. Overall a great day out and well worth the money. The hike is not for the light hearted and could be difficult for the less abled or elderly. But well worth it if you can manage the climb.

  • Ouzoud Waterfalls Guided Tour from Marrakech with Boat Ride

    9. Ouzoud Waterfalls Guided Tour from Marrakech with Boat Ride

Your 9-hour tour begins at 8:00 AM in Marrakech as you head out on a scenic minibus drive to the waterfalls. This is an excellent opportunity to escape from the city and explore a side of Morocco not many visitors get to see. En route you’ll pass through many traditional Moroccan towns and rural villages. When you arrive at the Ouzoud Waterfalls, after about a 3-hour drive, you’ll have 4 hours to enjoy the cascades and the area’s natural beauty. Be sure to check out the wild monkeys living in the trees and take a swim if you like. Select the option including a boat ride to see the stunning falls from the water. You can walk down along the cascades, relax to the sound of the falls, enjoy a picnic lunch or visit one of the many cafés and restaurants. After a restful and relaxing afternoon, you’ll head back to Marrakech by minibus.

This is a full day trip. You are instructed to meet outside the Cafe Restaurant de France if not being picked up from a hotel, however the Cafe Restaurant de France closed some time ago! The journey was fine, in a comfortable mini bus. On arrival we were met by our guide who escorted us to the falls, down to the bottom and then up the other side, with an organised lunch break. I was one of only two solo travellers so we were rather 'thrown' together despite me not speaking either Arabic or French and she not speaking English. The waterfalls are spectacular- even at the end of summer with the water level probably at its low point. The food was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, but more enjoyable when you are with someone to share the experience with.

Our guide Mr. Mohmaed came punctually and picked us up from the hotel very friendly and attentive water and refreshing towels were already ready for us The whole day was very interesting for us and we were able to drive in areas where a bus cannot get to and eat with the Berber family was very nice and good too. a great experience at any time

Very nice trip. Our driver Abdul made it very special. He showed us all the nice places, told a lot about the culture and history. We felt very welcome, also thanks to the guide at Ait Benhaddou. We would really recommend this trip with those guides.

Excellent! Magnificent !

This is my best excursion of the week! The landscapes are breathtaking, the Berbers are adorable and welcoming! There is not too much walking so it is perfect for people who cannot walk too much. My guide "Abdul Sahara" was awesome !!!!!

Very good experience Friendly driver Really complete visit with atlas and Sahara Problem is noon, the departures are late and in tourist traps! Also the trip with people but separation for the night then for the activities .....

Great tour for someone on a short timeframe in Morocco. You do a lot of road but the guide/driver was great. Brings you to truly local experiences and is very flexible!
