You will find out the story of the citadel, you will see the well preserved walls and towers of defense and admire the medieval houses aligned along narrow old streets. The highlights of the citadel are: the house where it is said that Vlad the Impaler (known as Dracula) was born, the Clock Tower (on the top of which you can take some beautiful panoramic pictures with the citadel), the Covered Stairs and the Evangelical Church. In the afternoon, you will head to Bran and visit Bran Castle, which became so famous thanks to the legend of Dracula. Here you will find out how this legend was born and why Transylvania is until nowadays related to it. A friendly tip – some garlic could come in useful during the visit! In the evening, return to Bucharest and drop off at your hotel.

We had a fantastic trip to Sighișoara and Bran Castle. Our guide Andrei was great and extremely knowledgeable - we learned so much about not only the legend of Dracula, but about the history of the area and the way of life at that time, including some interesting facts about the Romanian Royal Family. We travelled with our two teenage children who also had a fab time. Andrei picked us up from outside our apartment and despite it being a long trip from Cluj-Napoca, we would thoroughly recommend the experience. Visiting Bran Castle at twilight certainly added to the atmosphere and we have some stunning photos from a great day out. Thank you Andrei!

Oliver was an amazing guide. Just the right amount of history without being too much, very friendly and great to chat with. The minibus was comfortable for the distance travelled. The journey was nicely broken into 2 hr chunks. Both destinations were amazing, the snow made a fantastic addition in Bran. Overall a great experience and really worth it

Cosmina was very knowledgeable about Sigishoara and Romanian history in general. She provided excellent information and was very engaging.

Tour guide was amazing and well worth the money, saw a lot and learned a lot about the culture. Even more then just Dracula
