Head deep in the forests surrounding Brasov. The vehicle that will pick you up and bring you to the forest will stop approximately 200-300 meters away from the observation hide. Walk for a short distance to the hide and then wait quietly, for the wildlife to come out. Everything is real and wild. Please note that there is no 100% guarantee that you will spot any wildlife, but statistically, there are very high chances to spot brown bears, and also lynx, foxes, wolves, and wild boars. Once the sun is setting and it is getting darker, start making your way back and return to Brasov, as you will not be able to see anything in the dark and walking through the forest during the night can be dangerous. The meeting time is set according to the dusk time and can, therefore, vary a little. Among the world’s largest carnivores, male brown bears can weigh up to 750 pounds, with an estimated 5,500 individuals living in the Carpathian region of Romania.  After arriving in the forest, your guide, an experienced forest ranger, will take you on a 20-minute walk to the hideaway from which you’ll watch the bears. Gaze out into the forest, keeping your eyes peeled for the massive creatures, alongside the other varied fauna that live in the region, from wild boar to deer and lynx.
