  • Seoul: South Korea Demilitarized Zone Half & Full Day Tour

    1. Seoul: South Korea Demilitarized Zone Half & Full Day Tour

Depart Seoul and journey to one of the most unusual tourist destinations in the world at the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on the border of South and North Korea. Created by the Korean Armistice Agreements of July 27, 1953, the 155-mile long military demarcation line (MDL) has a 2-kilometer wide demilitarized zone on each side. Your first stop is Ganghwa Peace Observatory, where you can have the closest and most clear look at North Korean farmlands. Walk around rather untouched paths, enclosed by barbed wires and stop by at 6.25 Veterans Memorial Park where you can learn about the tragic history of Korean War. Close your eyes and take a moment to think about their sacrifices. Later, travel to Imjingak Park, a part of Paju DMZ, where many statues and monuments regarding the Korean War can be seen. Discover the Bridge of Freedom used by repatriated POWs and soldiers. At the end of the ...

It was a great tour and covered everything listed. Very knowledgeable and helpful tour guide.

  • Seoul: Korea House Traditional Dinner and Dance Performance

    2. Seoul: Korea House Traditional Dinner and Dance Performance

After being picked up from your hotel, arrive at Korea House in the center of Seoul, where you will be greeted by staff dressed in traditional attire and folk music. Emjoy a variety of traditional royal cuisines where you will taste what ancient kings have had in the past. Following the tasting of the quality local foods, make your way to an intimate theatre for two hour-long dance and music performances. Put on by a troupe of top musicians and dancers, the shows have English commentary on a screen. The show includes elegant court dances such as pansori (a spiritual shamanist dance), samullori (a folk dance) and samgomu (featuring acrobatic female drummers). After the performance, be returned to your accomodation to finish the evening.

I would like to say that this was completely worth with the money spent. The dinner was lovely and the Korean Show was fantastic. I would like to especially thank Joy our guide for giving us a great overview and just being pleasant. She took time to let us know the story line of the show. Without having this overview we wouldn’t have known what the show was about. Excellent experience!!

We booked this on a whim, so we weren't expecting much. The tour was quirky (i.e. the petite france theme park) but overall the experience exceeded our expectations! We loved Nami Park but probably would have ditched the Theme Park in favor of more time there. The final stop at the garden was amazing and definitely an unexpected highlight.

Our Tour Guide was Jade. She speaks fluent English and seems knowledgeable about the places to be visited. She gave a little talk about history and some facts. She even recommend a restaurant for lunch (but the food tastes bland in my opinion).

I would recommend this tour. The female guide was very dedicated, informative and friendly. Even though I couldn't understand everything all the time I still learned something new. There were 3 stops and you always had like 10-15 minutes for yourself which were more than enough for me. So, if your are in Seoul you should visit the DMZ.

This was an incredible evening! Having been in Seoul for only a short time, I enjoyed strolling through the market, where Junghee showed and explained the different food. Cooking was absolute fun, and the dinner was so delicious! Junghee is an amazing host. I loved her stories and had great conversations. Big recommendation!

I had a wonderful time! Perfect for a taste of Korean Culture, great food, and great conversation. I highly recommend doing this tour even if you're only in Seoul for a short time.

I had an amazing time cooking and learning about Korean food culture! I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone interested in Korean food.
