Recommended for those who wanted to know a bit of history on Samurai and to get a close up look of the Samurai armors. We arrived there 10 minutes before 4pm just to catch the Samurai show at 4pm (stated in the details). But when we got there, there was actually a group tour (for an hour) at certain times. Ours started 4:20pm, so with a lot of time to spare, we went crazy shopping for souvenirs at the shop which conveniently located at the waiting area. So basically it is not a museum that you can roam around freely at your leisure time. But you can still exit during the tour (that was what we did because we had another booked show just around the area). To be honest, we really wanted to finish the tour but because we were a bit confused in the details so we were unable to manage our time. The Samurai show is included in the tour. And the tour guides are so friendly! Enjoyable tour.

Our guide Rio was charming, informative and had a lovely sense of humor. The museum exhibits were fascinating and the Samurai “fight” was entertaining. The visit was topped off with the opportunity to dress in Samurai outfits and ladies traditional outfits to take some pictures. I would highly recommend a visit to the Shinjuku Samurai Museum!

Recommended for people who want to learn more about the samurai Era in Japan. Always good to know about samurai history. The owner has many interesting historical items from hundred years ago. The guide is knowledgeable and has passion in explaining the subjects.

This was an extremely detailed and interesting tour. It went through the stages of the sumarais through the years. The tour operator was full of knowledge and made it interesting and funny at times.

The ticket bought via get online is cheaper than buy at entrance. Good to buy online advance :) Need to check the shuttle bus/local bus schedule if you don’t drive. Only one or two buses per hour.
