What people are saying about Sierra Nevada

I highly recommend this trip for three reasons: (1) it is great hike along the main river valley with beautiful cascades up to a ridge from where one can enjoy the stunning view of all the three highest peaks in Sierra Nevada - Mulhacen, Veleta and Alcazaba, and an excellent opportunity to experience this special mountain range with many peaks over 3000 m, which are however much more accessible than the peaks of the same height in the Alps or the Pyrenees; (2) it is perfectly safe even when neve covers large parts of the trails due to the competent assistance of our guide Jaime; (3) it is actually accessible to all people who have basic fit; even though some might feel some shortness of breath at this altitude, Jaime is patient and sympathetic, encouraging everyone to finish it. In addition, you might have a lot of fun watching Jaime's dog Kai climbing aside the group. It is the perfect escape into nature after experiencing the very crowded center of Granada. Do not hesitate to do it!

Jaime and his dog Kai were excellent guides! The landscape and views were beautiful, the group size was great, and Jaime had plenty of fleeces, hats, and gloves since the day started off chilly. There were well-timed breaks for snacks and photos. You'll want to bring lunch along as you definitely work hard on this hike! One tip, it's at a very high elevation, so if you have just arrived to Granada and are getting used to the altitude, maybe don't book this for your first day there like I did. Even so, it was well worth it and Jaime made sure I was able to keep up!

Brilliant walk in the mountains. Fantastic scenery. Although the pace was not fast it is quite a technical walk, over rough terrain and rocks. Not just a simple country walk. For me this was great as I love hill/mountain walking but you need a good pair of trainers and I would say some experience of harder walks to fully enjoy it.

The tour was perfectly organized, both our guide Manolo and our driver/photographer/caterer José were so nice and made this experience unforgettable. If you like biking, scenic views and a little thrill: do not miss this incredible tour!

This is a great informative trip and very fun and feel-good activity, and the friendly guide, Daud, has the best English in Andalusia
