We enjoyed the park and the train ride with the accompanying commentary about the activities of the convicts and the early beginnings of the park. We did not enjoy being questioned as to whether or not we had paid for the train when our information said we had. There has to be better communication between the Tour sellers And the service that runs them. Suppliers of the tours need to make it known from the very outset what the additional fees will be and how much they are and how they can be paid ( credit or cash).
It's a long trek ( if you are not a trekker) and requires waterproof boots, most of the trek is on damp and Marsh soli. The alternative you are offered of cheap rubber boots is not very good. The ones my wife used were ruptured and they don't give you a good support. You will need trekking poles, but they are provided by the operator. Other than these operating issues it was very nice trek with very beautiful scenary.
A must do!! We had the chance to take this tour with my wife and we absolutely loved it. The guides were funny and whitty. Knowledgable and with a genuine love and interest for their work. The places we visited were great. It was a trully lovely visit and a great experience at the end of the world!!
It was an interesting excursion because of the very special location. We did not stop to see the sea lions although it was in the program description. The guide at the estancia was nice but speaking a poor English, meanwhile the guide at the Museum was excellent.
Since it had been raining quite a bit the walk in to the lake was A bit challenging due to the amount of mud on the trail But our guide was great in keeping everyone together and enjoying the experience. The hike itself is lovely!
