It felt a very personal tour and Marko was attentive to ensure that the tour was both fun and informative. It was the perfect balance and mix of activities that we thoroughly enjoyed. We went for lunch at a beautiful secluded little restaurant in the woods that we would otherwise never have seen and enjoyed a coffee in the cafe restaurant owned by the Croatian football team manager. The Neanderthal exhibition was a great way to start the tour and Trakoscan castle was absolutely beautiful. Our visit to Varazadin was enlightening and the city was full of picturesque buildings with a great history. The tour was completed with a visit to Roman baths and thermal springs. All in all it was a long but terrific and relaxed day made all the more special by Marko's great company. Thankyou. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We had a fantastic guide (Marko) who picked us up from our hotel in Zagreb. Our first destination was the Neanderthal Museum which was extremely fascinating & interesting. From here we went to Trakoscan Castle, a beautiful majestic castle by a lake. We had lunch at a wonderful secluded restaurant (Pethrasti) having a traditional meal. After this we went to Varazdin, which is another spectacular old town with a huge history and enjoyed a coffee overlooking the fortress. Our final destination before heading back to Zagreb was Varaždinske Toplice and Aquae Iasae (Roman baths) another extremely interesting site to see and experience. In our opinion, north Croatia is an absolute must see destination especially with a guide like Marko who has the breadth and knowledge of the history. Highly recommend this tour.

Marko was very passionate about his city Varazdin and extremely knowledgeable. He took us a phenomenal place which essentially is a mountain cabin for some local Croatian lunch, which was the star attraction for the day.

There's nothing that can be improved apart from maybe a bottle of water for participants especially as we are approaching the summer months.
