Tarraco was the capital of "Hispania Citerior," 1 of the 3 provinces that formed the Iberian Peninsula approximately 2,000 years ago. This aqueduct – 217 meters long and 26 meters high – is a spectacular example of advanced Roman engineering. The 11-hour trip departs from Barcelona and heads south to Tarragona’s breathtaking 2,000-year-old Roman Aqueduct, known locally as El Pont del Diable (The Devil’s Bridge). Stroll around its tiny white houses, and let your imagination take you away to Ibiza-style fishing villages, built with a touch of Roman-Greco flair. Arrive in Sitges at 14:00, in perfect time for lunch. This once quiet fishing village today boasts a long and sandy beach, groovy boutiques, and a handful of interesting sights. Fashionable since the 1890s, when it became an avant-garde, art-world hang-out, Sitges provides a maze of shady side streets, where you can enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere of its whitewashed houses. After a leisurely lunch, head off to one of the 17 beaches in town to spend a relaxing afternoon soaking up the sun. Reunite with your group at 18:00 for the return journey to Barcelona.

Both wineries are known for their production of high-quality wines. Vega De Ribes is a family-owned winery that has been producing wine since 1954. Their cava is made from the local grape varieties Macabeu, Xarel-lo, and Parellada, and are aged for at least 18 months. Vega De Ribes also produces red and white still wines, which are also of high quality. Villadelops is another family-owned winery that has been producing wine since the 14th century. Their wines are aged in oak barrels and have a unique character due to the use of wild yeast during fermentation. Villadelops also produces a dessert wine, which is made from overripe grapes that have been affected by noble rot. Vega De Ribes and Villadelops are excellent examples of the quality and diversity of wines produced in the Penedès region of Catalonia. This is the tour for all those who want to enjoy a fantastic experience cycling through vineyards, forests and wineries. We are great connoisseurs of the Penedès and the fourth generation of a family of winegrowers and we want to share our knowledge with you in a privileged environment such as the Penedès Wine region. Your local guide will make interesting explanations of the region and viticulture during the route, you will learn about the rich culture and history of the region and you will stop to enjoy an interesting tour in a family-owned and ecological winery to learn the secrets of wine & Cava production and enjoy a commented tasting. This is a small group to ensure a personalized experience with a maximum of 12 persons. Every Tuesday & Friday, weekdays, during all the year. You will meet at 10:00 AM at our Bike Center, at Lavern-Subirats train station and catch the return train around 2:00 PM (free parking if you arrive by car) and you will have the option to extend your bike rental if you prefer to keep the eBike for the rest of the day.

Meet your guide in the city center of Barcelona and take the public bus (50 mn) to reach our agency located in the sleepy catalan town of Vilafranca del Penedès. You will pick up your Premium Scott mountain bike (or electric bike) and begin your journey among the vineyards of Penedès, with a breathtaking view of the “Massif de Montserrat”, the most sacred mountain of Catalonia. With your guide, you will discover the most beautiful wine routes in the area, uncover the history of the Penedès region and learn about the local wine culture and the elaboration of Cava, the most iconic drink of Catalonia. During our tour, we will have the first tasting in an authentic family-owned winery. You will discover the world of natural & biodynamic wines and experience their unique taste. After a scenic bike ride, we will reach the 2nd winery. Our guide will show you around the cellar and explain in detail the wine/cava making process. You will then try several premium organic wines and cava to discover the taste of the region, paired with some local snacks. After the tastings, we will return to the city center in an easy ride along the vineyards. Take advantage of the rest of your afternoon to have lunch and discover the charming coastal town of Sitges, only 25 kilometers away. If you’ve already had a big day, feel free to have lunch in Vilafranca del Penedès and take the bus back to Barcelona on your own (you will be back in Barcelona at 16.00).

Discover Sitges on a sailing trip, the best way to appreciate the history of this town, its historical legacy, and close links with the vineyards and the Malvasia of Sitges. After the sailing excursion, go on your way to the urban winery Celler de l'Hospital and take a guided tour of the historical center of Sitges. Discover the history and architecture of a town open to the sea and the direct relationship between the town, its history, and the Malvasia of Sitges. After a short walking tour, arrive at the Celler de l'Hospital winery and the CIM (Malvasia Interpretation Center) where you will visit the winery and one of the few urban vineyards in Spain. Discover the underwater cellars of Malvasia with a tasting of their Malvasia of Sitges wines. After a brief description of the activity, we will start the sailing trip in front of the coast of Sitges in Port Aiguadolç, where our captain will offer information about the coast and curiosities of this charming town. At the end of the sailing trip, a tourist guide will take you on a walking tour of the town, discovering the history and architecture of Sitges. Finally, we will arrive at the Celler de l'Hospital, an authentic urban winery with vineyards for a visit and wine tasting.

Choose between 4 different types of paella: – Seafood paella: The best known in the world. Prawns, calamari, squid and fish. This one is a classic in every Spanish household. – Meat paella: A mix of different meats is added to the rice along with the spices and lots of love. – Vegetarian paella: For veggies lovers, a seasonal mix of vegetables and a strong vegetable broth give the rice the best taste. – Black paella: This type of paella is more unknown to travelers. Made with rice with squid and its ink. It is served with a garlic sauce made of egg, oil, salt, and garlic.
