Old Town Poznan: Guided Walking Tour in English

Old Town Poznan: Guided Walking Tour in English

The cradle of Polish statehood. A fascinating testimony to a millennium of history, culture and a spirit of entrepreneurship. Taking advantage of its location at the crossroad of many trade routes, Poznań developed greatly over several centuries. The wealth of the historic city and its trading character is still visible through its magnificent architecture and uniquely colourful Old Market Square. At the end of the 18th century, the city became part of Prussia. During the partitions, Poles became a target of brutal persecutions and Germanization. Unlike in other parts of the former Poland, their response was not only in armed resistance. Over the next decades, they are rather focused on development in all kinds of fields – educational, social and economic. That is why you will still feel here more… grounded than in the other parts of Poland As one of the economic and cultural centres of Poland, known for organizing international fairs, present-day Poznań is bustling with life. It is also one of the biggest university hubs. Some even say it’s the friendliest city in the country. Join our Old Town Free Walkative! Tour to feel the inspiring energy of the capital of Wielkopolska!

Our tour guide, Mateusz, was amazing and very knowledgeable! We had so much fun and enjoyed all of the information and history. It allowed us some insight into Polish customs and cultures. The vodka tastings were delicious (and at great spots we came back to days later) and he answered all of our questions (we love history). He was a great host and this tour is definitely not something to miss out on while in Poznan!!!

Nice pub crawl! A pub and two interesting house pubs, with ax throwing, shuffleboard and table tennis, which you wouldn't have seen as a tourist. Nightclub was a bit too small and too dark - but music was good for dancing! Eric, the guide was communicative, cheerful and professional. We recommend!

Great party indeed :) Everything was well organized and smooth. Guide was really friendly and I had a blast playing beerpong and chatting with other participants. And a pace of visiting next pubs was also all right. Recommending!

Fantastic tour for myself and friends, we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get to know the history and good places to go.

the guided tour was absolutely fantastic. our friendly guide took us to hidden treasures in Poznan
