Overall rating
Our driver arrived on time every time, very efficient. We had a self-guided tour. Villa Adriana (Hadrian's abode) would be more interesting with a guide, we were just fortunate to have as a fellow tourist someone who understood history and have been to that place before. Our driver suggested a very good restaurant, L'Angelino di Mirko. Aside from the excellent food and service we got met the owner's nonna who was making the tortellini. She's a sweetheart. Villa D'Este on the other hand was serene and had beautiful fountains.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day visiting Tivoli and Villa D'Este. Simone/Simi was a wonderful host and conversationalist, describing the scenery and sites we were visiting and generally answering our many questions. He exceeded our expectations for the trip, even inviting us for a morning coffee and croissant, making a special stop along the way to see Tivoli from a different perspective, and directing us toward a favorite local pizzeria.

I would have liked a little longer at Hadrian's Villa, especially in the museum
perhaps give a plan of the villa to follow the explanations properly
