This was the best decision I have ever made to book with Tor"s tours.. I was lucky enough to get Tor himself as my guide.. He took me to the most beautiful places I have ever seen or felt.. they have changed me and will forever be apart of my heart. I would have never found these place on my own. He knows every crack and crevice of the land and the best places to eat. Tintagel and Merlin's cave are the places where you can feel and see why these lands inspired the legends and myths. St. Nectans Glen was truly the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life, it WILL touch your soul. It's the place all the fairies have gone to hide safely and dance free thru the forest. The waterfall is a sight to behold as it gentlt cleanses your spirit. Dartmoor's forest was full of amazing energy like I have never felt. Mystical and beautiful.. Then when you step inside the St. Michael de Rupert church not only is the view amazing but the energy from the ley lines can be felt by all. GO!!!!
Only 10 in our group yet split into 3 different places each night. There was a huge difference in the quality of the accommodation- from very poor guest houses to hotels and far apart, making it hard to join up for dinner or evenings. Plus we didn’t have the locations nor names of the other places. Maybe that was so we couldn’t compare our accommodations! Do not use Telstar ‘hotel’ Exeter again for your patrons. Annoying for the 3 of us to walk 20min. to city centre that was basically closed on a cold sprinkling Monday evening. Then to learn next morning that 6 (3 separate couples) stayed in a hotel with a dining room & bar open in evening. And we were stuck there for a second evening. In Falmouth, we were all separated again! Some had a hotel with dining room open at night again. My husband & I were in the excellent Westcott Guest House - but just us 2 so not possible to mix with the other 8 people. Only good thing all 4 nights, was the strong free wifi.
Sarah, our guide, picked up the three of us from our hotel as arranged. What a delightful young woman. She was full of interesting information and took us on a brilliant tour, not only showing us all the major filming locations we would never have found ourselves, but lots of other relevant sights as well. The tour was expensive, but we felt it was very well worth it; a really wonderful and jam-packed day. I thoroughly recommend this tour, but most especially Sarah, our guide.
Port Isaac is stunning and yes you can experience the Village by yourself but this tour offers so much more, we were taken around by someone who’s not only a local but an actor who’s been in Doc Martin, his knowledge is excellent, and explains not only the locations used, which characters lived or work where but also the history of the village through the ages, there are so many extra hidden secrets that on your own you would definitely miss. Thanks so much was excellent
Very nice tour where you can have an overwiew on Devon and Cornwall. Tour members were nice and we can feel the passion of the tour guide, Dave, for the countryside, he gaves a lot of details and stories while driving, very entertaing. Tour well organised, and the bed&breakfeasts where we stayed were very nice. I can only recommend it
