Enjoy a flexible transfer from Funchal to Pico do Arieiro to enjoy the hike all the way to Pico Ruivo. Trek up to the highest and second-highest mountains on Madeira at your own pace and enjoy pickup and drop-off at your accommodation. Receive instructions from the host, and learn about the schedule and where you will pass by. The day before the hike, get the exact pickup time and a weather forecast to get ready for your transfer (conformation needed). Get picked up at your accommodation in Funchal and dropped off at the entrance to Pico do Arieiro to begin your self-guided hike. Soak in the natural scenery around you as you walk for 5 hours from mountain to mountain on a hiking trail. Walk up to 1862 meters in elevation at the Pico Ruivo, the highest peak on Madeira Island. When you're done exploring, head to the parking lot area at Achada do Teixeira.

After sunrise, we'll head to the Vereda do Larano trail! This hike starts with the Levada do Caniçal, leading you through local rural buildings with gardens and offering stunning views over Machico. The trail then connects to Boca do Risco, where you'll begin an epic coastal hike along the cliffs, providing panoramic views of the ocean and the North Coast. The adventure concludes in the picturesque village of Porto da Cruz, known for its beautiful landscapes and charming ambiance. This route offers a perfect blend of mountain, levada, and coastal hiking, ensuring a memorable experience while PR1 remains closed. Hike at your own rhythm on a self-guided trek in Caldeirão Verde. Explore the incredible Laurissilva Forest and mystical trail along a water channel, with green views on one side and stunning waterfalls along the other. Observe the waterfalls, ancient endemic trees, the Levada trail, and feel the nature of Queimadas. Get picked up at your accommodation with a shared transfer (up to 8 guests per van). Arrive at your destination and receive your hike instructions with scheduling and map explanation. The hike is a round trip trail totalling 15 km in length. The starting point will be at Queimadas Park. This hike will take you roughly 5.5-hours to complete. The minimum elevation on this tour is 872-meters whereas the maximum is 1062-meters, so it's known for no hills or stairs.

Welcome to our Mountain Sunrise Service, where you can experience the beauty of a mountain sunrise and hike at your own pace. If you're someone who loves to witness the first light of the day and embark on a breathtaking hike, then this is the ideal service for you. Our pickups begin bright and early, starting at 5:20 a.m. during the summer and 6:00 a.m. in the winter. We will pick you up from your location and transfer you to Pico do Areeiro. You will receive a time confirmation the day before your scheduled pickup. After enjoying the awe-inspiring sunrise, we’ll arrange a pickup at the other end at 12:00 midday in the summer and 1:00 p.m. in the winter, allowing you to hike at your own pace. Your hike will start from Pico do Areeiro and end at the Pico Ruivo car park in Achada da Teixeira. If you don’t show up until the time of planned departure, you will be classified as a "no-show" and the bus will leave you behind. We make sure everyone is fine. Please be at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive otherwise, we will take no responsibility for any circumstances not related to the transfer (that you might be missing etc). Once you've completed your hike, will be waiting to transport you back to Funchal, ensuring a comfortable and convenient return journey. Start the day at the harbor where you will learn everything you need to know about kayaking before heading to the nature reserve. Upon arrival at Garajau, enjoy a 40-minute paddle toward Lazareto. Stop for a break on the beautiful pebble beach and take in the views of the surrounding rock features from times gone by. Afterward, discover Madeira's native marine life as you snorkel through crystal-clear waters. In the event of poor weather conditions, you will have the opportunity to explore the sea from the safety of your kayak instead. Finish the day with a spot of cliff diving before heading back to your hotel for the evening.

Benefit from a morning transfer service from Funchal or Caniço to embark on your self-guided hike of Pico do Arieiro and Pico Ruivo. After pickup from your accommodation, drive to Pico Do Arieiro in the late morning where the hike starts. Your driver will provide a briefing with all the information needed about the route and the timings. You can walk on your own or join other people in the group. Walk from Pico Do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo, the highest mountain on Madeira Island with 1862 meters of altitude. You will have between 4 and a half hours to 5 hours to complete the hike, which is plenty of time even for slow hikers. Admire breathtaking views along the trail and feel as if you are walking above the clouds. On the challenging path, you will find a few tunnel walks and the famous stairs to heaven. Finally, arrive at Achada Do Teixeira, the ending point of the hike. Your driver will be waiting there to bring you back to your accommodation.

After pickup, travel to Pico do Arieiro where you will enjoy the sunrise. This is the highest viewpoint of the island at 1818 meters of altitude. See the sunrise while enjoying a hot cup of coffee or tea. Enjoy a buffet-style breakfast of sandwiches, homemade cake, biscuits, water, orange juice, fruit jam, cheese, and ham at a very special location : a rustic old mill that was refurbished in order to accomodate people and a perfect spot to enjoy your breakfast in privacy and sheltered from the cold. Then, travel back to Camacha and go for a lovely walk in the Paradise Valley area. Admire the views of some endemic trees from the Laurissilva forest. Then, head back to the city center with drop-off at your hotel or at a central point.

Admire Madeira's starry night sky on a guided trek up to the jagged Pico Ruivo.
