Sunny Beach: Sozopol Old Town, Ravadinovo Castle & Boat Tour

Start with pickup from your hotel. During this coach tour you’ll travel alongside our unique South Black Sea coast, where seaside nature is combined with a rich history and culture of our ancient settlements. The first stop is in Old Town Sozopol, you have a unique opportunity to enjoy the city and surrounding islands from the boat. Making pictures is permitted here and we guarantee your visual contact with the real nature! After the boat trip be prepared to turn your watches back with… 2500 years. The ancient town of Sozopol, being called also Apollonia and Antea is the historical pearl of our South Black Sea coast and its old part still has got a unique atmosphere of the past centuries. On a walking tour, our guide will take you to the narrow streets with houses and churches, which are stuck right on the seashore. One such house, operating as “The Windmill” restaurant is the place for your lunch in a traditional Bulgarian style. After lunch, you’ll have free time to walk around and enjoy the life of this small ancient town. The style of the Castle is Fairy, Enchanting. This is the secret of its magic impact – a dream to build a castle existing only in fairy tales made true. It was built completely of 20 000 tons of stone, especially extracted from the bowels of the Strandzha Mountains. The stone is marble (metamorphosed limestone), which is used everywhere – in the fence, the artificial lake, walls and towers, the chapel and the cellar. It contains traces of micro diamonds, which makes the castle change its colour – in the morning it has pink nuances, during the day, it becomes white and at full moon – it glows. However, the thing that makes this castle unique is the fact it has the shape of a crest, which symbolizes trust, love and commitment in its construction and development. In Love with Wind is a unique attraction not only for Bulgaria. It attracts the interest and admiration of both locals and foreigners. Feel the fairy comfort of a castle from the fairy tales and allow yourself to get lost in its enchanting atmosphere. You’ll be back at Sunny Beach in about 40-50 minutes and at about 5 p.m.

The trip was really good. The transfers from one place to another went very smoothly. We saw a beautiful castle, historic Sozopol, and went on a short boat trip on the sea. We learned a lot of interesting things on the trip. The guide (Soeren) was very knowledgeable and clearly loved his job. It was a real pleasure to travel with him and listen to him. We also went to a wonderful restaurant for dinner. However, there was perhaps a little too much free time; less would have been enough, as Sozopol is such a small place. It would also have been lovely to go inside the castle for a tour. Definitely a trip worth taking.

Nice, eventful trip. Good value for money. The car was OK. But we would have liked a cell phone holder or a sat nav in the car.
