On the day of the free walking tour, we'll meet in Praza Porta do Sol, a square in the heart of Vigo, where you'll find the famous sculpture of "O Sireno", the symbol of this Galician city. From there, we'll head towards one of the city's treasures, little known by tourists, where you'll be able to enjoy spectacular views of Vigo and its estuary. We'll continue our free guided tour through the main streets and squares of the historic center, where we'll learn about the history of the city and some of the famous figures who have made Vigo a tourist attraction. Next, we'll head to the harbor and the landscaped avenues of the nautical area, where our guide will tell us all about the development of the city, its migratory history, and the legends of sunken treasures that surround Vigo.

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Sireno statue in Porta do Sol square (remember, the statue is high above the ground). We'll begin our exciting journey by introducing the group to some Galician folklore, and then we'll delve deeper and deeper into Vigo's secrets. Enjoy the view of El Sireno as its shadow lengthens... for soon the legendary creatures of the past will bring an eerie atmosphere. Among other exciting tales, you'll learn what the Holy Company, Trasnos, and Lavandeiras are... and learn to fear them. Fact and fiction intertwine, as the Galician people will always be known for their links with the other side. The guide's vivid narrative will captivate you as the night approaches. Churches touched by spiritual forces, the legend of a mysterious dragon that nested in our estuary, the breathtaking tales of witches from the time of the Spanish Inquisition... Are you scared yet? We will meet at the indicated time in the Plaza Princesa, next to the Angelote fountain. There we will start this free tour of the Christmas lights of Vigo in which we will discover how the city emanates magic during these dates. During the tour we will learn all about the Christmas tradition in Vigo while we come across some of its most emblematic monuments. First of all, we will walk to Príncipe Street making several stops to learn about some of the most unique stories of Vigo's past and present. Can you feel the Christmas spirit running through your veins? We will continue the visit at the Urzáiz street lamp and then we will arrive at the intersection of Colón and Policarpo Sanz streets to see in first person why it is the most spectacular corner of the Christmas lights in Vigo. In addition, we will walk through the main squares of the Casco Vello. What will be your favorite set of lights? Crossing the Christmas market in Compostela square we will meet some illustrious characters and find out who they are! After an hour and 45 minutes, we will finish the free tour in Policarpo Sanz street, in front of the theater and the biggest monumental nativity scene in Spain.
