This 3-hours guided tour will start right next to the harbor. Leaving the center and entering the beautiful Rauma Valley, along the Rauma River filled with salmon and the impressive mountains on both sides, our journey takes us to the first photo stop at the Trollwall. After getting our first impressions of the imposing mountain scenery, we will continue towards Trollstigen. We will cross over the "Sogge Bridge" into the beautiful Isterdal Valley, where the spectacular "Trollstigen" serpentine road begins. Our coach driver will take us up 11 hairpin bends to the plateau, where we will have the next photo stop. From a spectacular lookout, we can see the entire scenery of this impressive mountain road, including the surrounding peaks and the wild Stigfossen waterfall. After a definitely unforgettable time on the top of Trollstigen, the route descends back down to Åndalnes. Experience spectacular history and enjoy the majestic scenery of high peaks and jagged rock faces on Norway's most memorable railway journey. Encounter Trollveggen, the engineering masterpiece Kylling bridge, and the impressive Verma waterfalls as you travel the route. Start your rail adventure at Åndalsnes station, and be welcomed on on board by the train's hosts. Settle into your seat for the first part of the journey to Bjorli. Peer out of the window to marvel at highlights such as the Troll Wall, the Verma Waterfall. Get your camera ready for the Kylling Bridge, the most photographed railway bridge in Norway. The journey starts at Åndalsnes station, where you will be welcomed on board by our train hosts. The first part of the journey by train takes about 1 hour. In addition to the visual feast of Norway’s stunning nature during the train ride, you will be served with unique stories about the ones who have struggled and lived amongst sharp peaks, fed on the river, and climbed the mountains and you'll get to dive into the historical events of the Second World War, the roots of “the Golden Train”. Moving at a slow pace will allow you the opportunity to capture stunning photographs of the breathtaking natural scenery passing by from the comfort of your window seat. You will get a short break at our final stop at Bjorli train station. Here you can disembark the train and take in the serene beauty of the surrounding nature outside. Åndalsnes - Meet the Trolls

The excursion starts in the center of Åndalsnes, from there we will drive along the Salmon River Rauma with mountains rising dramatically on both sides before we will come to Europe’s tallest vertical rock face, the Troll Wall (Trollveggen). Don’t forget to look behind you, because there we will find the famous Romsdalshorn (1,524 meters). After a photo stop of approximately 15 minutes, the drive continues along the Rauma River. The real Troll-adventure begins when crossing the Sogge Bridge: we will approach the Isterdal Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains with names like The King, The Queen and The Bishop. The bus will take us all the way up Trollstigen (Troll Road), a road opened in 1936 with 11-hairpin bends. Every bend has its own name, we can find them on the signs placed in every curve. From the bottom of the valley, and on our way up to the Trollstigen Plateau, we can admire the beautiful waterfall Stigfossen with a vertical drop of 180 meters. Upon reaching the summit of Trollstigen, we'll take an extended break to soak in the breathtaking vistas of the rugged mountains and the panoramic view of the Trollstigen Road, before descending back down the scenic route.

You will be walking on a prepared gravel path, and will be offered a good mix of stories from the region, ranging from 1800-history to current events. If you are lucky you might learn about a few secret, secluded spots where you can find inner peace among majestic mountains. This guided activity includes a return gondola ticket. The Romsdalen Gondola is this years' experience, a shortcut to the fantastic fjord and mountain views of Romsdalen. It takes you 708 height meters from the fjord and up to the mountain Nesaksla, located right above the town of Åndalsnes, surrounded by the famous Romsdalen mountains. This tour starts from the city center of Åndalsnes where you will be picked up by bus. On board the bus, your guide will tell you stories about its legends, trolls and the first of many attempts of ascending the Troll Wall, as well as interesting facts about the surrounding area, its geographic and history. The Troll Wall is a part of a mighty mountain massif, the Troll Peaks, towering up high above the Romsdalen valley. This tour will take you through this spectacular valley with the Troll Wall Visitor Center as our destination. From this point we will take a 15 minute (photo) stop for you to admire the impressive mountain range up close. After this short break, the guided bus tour will continue its way back to the town centre of Åndalsnes.
