Perfect tour with Patricia ! This is the second Tour I do from Porto with Excellence Tour. My mum and I literally enjoyed everything. This half a day tour is really well-organised : we were picked up from our hotel, Patricia is a safe driver and a very enthusiast woman. She knows everything there is to know about Portugal and her joy is contagious. She knows how to keep you interested and makes you want to discover more. Now, as for the tour, we stopped by the ocean near a lighthouse, saw the beautiful and picturesque houses from Barra, had a coffee and sweet in Aveiro and enjoyed a lovely boat ride on the canal. PERFECT day ! I saw this tour had absolutely no review but I don't get why, I'll keep on booking tour through Excellence Tour. Thank you so much for everything, we will be going back home with amazing memories ! Many thanks ! :)
We enjoyed our tour to the Douro Valley a lot! For the COVID situation, the minivan of capacity of 8 people had only 4 guests. The travel protocols were maintained throughout. The tour itself was great and diverse. The journey from Porto to Douro valley was smooth, we stopped for breakfast on the way. Our guide was very friendly and was explaining different aspects and history of the places. The wine tasting experience, the boat trip, and the lunch were great too. Would highly recommend if you want to experience a good chunk of what the Douro valley has to offer in only a day. :)
Brilliant trip by Norberto! He picked us up from our hotel on time and was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Dropped us off at the start of the Paiva walkway and was there to meet us at the end to take us to a traditional Portuguese restaurant for a lovely lunch. We were then driven to Aveiro for a walk around the town (with a market) and had a nice 45 minute trip on a ‘gondola’ before making our way on to our final stop for the day, Costa Nova, with its brightly painted fishermens cottages.
We had an amazing day out in the Douro Valley. Our guide, Tiago, was very knowledgeable and great fun. We got to try lots of wines and I loved being able to see the difference between a large scale Port producer and a small, family-run winery. Also, the lunch restaurant was lovely and even able to make a good vegetarian lunch for us - something that is pretty rare in Portugal! All in all, it was a great day and all coronavirus precautions were taken.
Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Great to see the landscape and scenery of the region. You experience lots of what Douro has to offer in such a small time frame. We were genuinely surprised at the amount to eat and drink through the day.
