Board the boat at Ribeira Quay and sail for 50 minutes along the river. Admire the beautiful landscapes and buildings of Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia from the water. Learn more about their construction and curiosities, and upon arrival at the last bridge, see the Foz do Douro where the river pours into the ocean.

It was really fun, the people were nice and we did not have to wakt long. There are 2 boats and one leaves every half hour. I would suggest taking one at 6 like we did, after the boatride we went for a hike to go up on one of the bridges and saw a beautiful sunset. We also had golden hour etc so we were really happy that we took the boat at 6. The people spoke excellent english! There is also a cable car ride by the boats. Both the rides were quite enjoyable, and the layout quite nice of the important things to see. The only issue was that of checking which plug in worked, luckily for me Spanish and Portuguese aren’t too far off but at a certain point I noticed I began to lose attention since well I don’t speak Portuguese but Spanish. Other than that I would advise wearing some sunscreen since I got completely burned since it was a nice perfect sunny day. Overall great ride but fix your sockets on the bus!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, our guide Claudia was informative, interesting and amusing. She was always pointing out places or points of interest on our journey right to the end, making sure that we were Covid safe at all times. The hosts at the two wineries were also very informative and passionate about their product. The lunch provided was tasty and well presented with a beautiful view of the vineyards. The boat trip was a charming restful and relaxing interlude. We had a lovely day and would thoroughly recommend this tour to give you a wider appreciation of Porto and Portugal.

The trip was well organised, although I booked 2 tickets and because the minivan was full we weren’t able to sit together. I know that for some people is not a big deal but if you spent almost 5 hours in a car we would prefer to sit together, especially it was my partner’s birthday. The tour guide was excellent, very funny and knowledgeable. Also went beyond my expectations when he asked us for a lunch preference and I don’t like meat or salmon, he made sure that the restaurant prepare something different for me and it was delicious!

This is a must-do tour. Ivo, our guide, was extremely knowledgable ... as well as being very entertaining. The two farms visited gave a good overview of the industry - one being a small farm, the other a very large scale operation. The lunch was top class too. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can only highly recommend this activity.

Great trip to the heart of the Douro valley wine producing region with visit to small Port producing estate. Excellent add-on to a short stay on Porto.

Beautiful day cruise, good food and great service. But it is a long day excursion.
