Great communication and historical knowledge shared by my guide Beth. Met at the train station and Beth helped me ensure that I was in the right place. Amazing trip as I am very interested in Edo. Very flexible approach so I saw the best of Kawagoe. Had fun trying out sweet potatoes pie and also local coffee shop for a sit down when needed. Beth has amazing knowledge of the area and she really listened to my requirements so that we saw all the original buildings and architecture. Don’t hesitate to do this tour. Made a real change from the hustle and bustle of central Tokyo !

A wonderful experience based on culture and tradition in Kawagoe. Visits full of historical anecdotes, strolls through the authentic streets, according to our discoveries and desires, as well as shrine and temple visits. The restaurant was an excellent choice. We were able to sample some of the city's specialties. Creating our own chopsticks was a nice touch to an already fantastic day. Thanks to our guide for his information and dynamism, and for taking photos during our activities.

The guide max took us thru the Tsukiji fish market, gave us a comprehensive guide on Japanese cuisine, took us to see the heights, then moved on to see Shibuya and Harajuku in which he gave us insight on how Shibuya came to be since the 1970s and then a traditional tour of the Meiji shrine and then a pop culture introduction of the Takeshita dori area. Ding! So diverse and so fun. Fully recommended. Tonkatsu, sushi and ramen - even sake tasting - we were completely spoiled!!

I had a lovely day with Masa seeing the sites of Kawagoe. I had been before, but I definitely got a lot more out of it with a guide. Masa was knowledgeable, kind and very generous with him time. Highlights were seeing the bell tower in action, the Kawagoe Festival Museum and Candy Alley. I highly recommend staying on after the tour, have a delicious lunch, do some shopping, grab one of the many sweets on offer for dessert and head back to Tokyo. Kawagoe is great.

An interesting trip with lots to see, well explained by the tour guide who was very friendly and helpful. There are certainly more beautiful places and attractions to see in Tokyo and the surrounding area, but it's definitely worth it for a half day.
