What people are saying about Cantona Archaeological Ruins

I first learned about the Cantona archaeological site on Google Maps. I saw a drone photo of the ruins and was blown away by how massive it was. A lot of people visit Teotihuacan and Chichen Itza but hardly anyone goes to Cantona, which is a shame because for me, this is the most impressive archaeological site I've visited thus far in Mexico and I've been to a few. Whenever I visit one of these sites, I always try to imagine what life must have been like back then. At some sites, this is easier said than done but in Cantona, it's pretty easy. You're walking through roads between houses and plazas so it's easier to imagine the ruins as a living city. This place is incredible. I was the only tourist there during my visit which made the experience even more magical. Before driving back to Puebla, we made a stop at Alchichica lagoon which is a pretty unique destination as well. It's basically an old volcano crater that's now a saltwater lagoon. Beautiful and very cool!
